  1. I understand. MSRP does not favor the Bolt in this scenario it's just that they are being sold below MSRP. Plus that 200 mile range in winter may be out of it's reach as well as other more expensive EV's.

Sounds to me like the perfect car for you is something along the lines of an E-Niro or ID4 that's available today and those are still pretty spendy.

Either way, enjoy the Mini, it's a great little car.

Yeah, I've been eyeing up that ID4 (I've had good experiences with my VW) but like you said, a bit spendy. I hadn't heard of the E-Niro but aside from the price, it looks like it would work as well. I'm hopeful that in the near future the prices of batteries go down which should help drop the prices.

And Thanks, I'm really looking forward to getting my mini and I'm hoping by the time I'm ready to buy another car there will be more affordable options. I'm really hopeful with what Ford's been doing and the success they've been seeing that we'll start to see more companies jump on board.

  4. I don't know your exact situation for commuting needs but previous to my Kona I had an electric Smart car, had about 95 miles of range in ideal conditions but I used it for 90% of my driving needs. Only used the wife's SUV on long trips or when we needed to carry a big load of stuff or passengers. The Mini might be all you need to decrease your carbon footprint and have loads of fun doing it.
