But that's just screen-grabbed highlights. Why doesn't MINI make those guides available from their website? If someone has the full 2022 Visual Order Guide file, I'd be happy to put it on my eMINIman.com website for easy linking. Just send it to john@ my website.

It was allowed, there is just no way I'd do more than the badges. I might black those out too lol
Did you click on the link? It's all there. Reminds me of summer and fall when I was looking. I had a better guide than my dealership and that was Oct. Even the site was buggy. The hp and 0-60 were often very wrong. Why they make it so hard, I do not understand

Doh! I didn't click on the link. Now I've clicked on the link, downloaded the file, and uploaded the file to this URL:
    https://eMINIman.com/pdf/2022MINIVisualOrderGuide.pdf

It's interesting they felt it necessary to illustrate the differences between the 2020/21 and 2022 models' front and rear ends (the SE is on pages 20 and 21).

My SE is Chili Red with Power Spoke Wheels. It has the energetic yellow badges on each side as well, just unable to get the yellow blade or mirror covers. I'm happy about the mirror covers, but wanted the yellow blade.

Well, just to keep you all informed in my ups and downs, I'm passing on the Island Blue.

The Island Blue is, at least for the Mini SE, only available with that Mini Electric Collection thing, and that forces too many choices upon me that I do not want (as I posted above).

So we're ordering a non-Island Blue one. I guess I need to change my avatar!

After looking at the before and after photos in the guide, I felt compelled to make a few edits (but I left the hood scoop unmolested).

Well done! You nailed some of the same thoughts I had in my head (pedestrian bar, dimmer yellow badge on back).

    Nicely done!

I'm still laughing at how the colors were done - is the yellow less bright or was that lazy editing.

I would also like a clearer shot of that electric symbol on the bottom of the Nappa steering wheel. I can't quite tell how that is going to look in person! I can see some future posts about "has anyone found a way to swap out the six o'clock panel on the steering wheel?".

I just noticed the LCI keeps the rear fog lights (unfortunately non-functional in the US due to laws) while dropping the front ones.

They couldn't crank up the brightness on the rear of the 2022 SE without losing the effect of the dark-tinted taillight lenses. Well, they could have isolated the taillight lenses before cranking up the brightness, but they didn't do that, so yes, lazy editing.

@Domenick updated the FAQ thread to replace the 2021 visual order guide with the new 2022 one (using @insightman's link). He also deleted the 2021 trim level photo spread.

This was on my list to do, so you just saved me the effort. Thanks! And your car will look slick with Enigmatic / Piano Black / Roulette. Nice choices!

Thanks! I actually didn't have a choice about the Piano Black exterior elements. According to my dealer, all Iconic Trim SEs come with that. I would have chosen Chrome, but I do think the black will look nice and the Roulette wheels will pop!

It's essentially what I had chosen for the 2021 that is being built right now. Maybe I will talk my dealer into letting me come visit it before they sell it.

I love the roulette wheels particularly with a dark car. My former was dk gray with roulette - black bonnet stripes too. Looked great!

I was looking over my car today from afar and with the white pin striped I might just keep the chrome and black out the grille. Still torn between that and having it painted to color match my car.

I find it a little crazy that they switched to 2022 orders in early January, yet the Mini USA site STILL only allows you to configure a 2021...which you cannot buy. The Mini IT team needs to stop lagging this far behind.

How many months was the 2021 on sale without it too? I know in Oct I ordered and used a pdf from here. My sales person had not even had that visual ordering guide. Insane.

I can't tell for sure, but it looks like they may have been lazy with the photo editing and placed a sort of transparent grey overlay on the entire 2022 vehicle that one can see by looking at the glass on both vehicles (including the headlights).....or, of course, it could just be my failing eyesight in old age....
