I often park my car away from others in parking lots only to find someone else has parked next to mine. Is there some strange force that attracts others to ‘Blue Bobs’?

My theory: Someone enters the parking lot and sees your car parked way off by itself and thinks: "This person parked there so they won't get door dings so they would be very careful about not dinging my car if I'm next to them". That way at least one side of their car is protected by yours. If it's a 20 year old Caravan they just want to make you nervous.

On another note. In 1981 when I went into business for myself I bought the first new car of my life. Less than a month old I had parked in the far corner of the bank's parking lot. Some guy in one of those old Chryslers the size of a department store decided to turn around and creased it!
