Relatively short, 29:02, it is concentrated engineering excellence. This was the livestream event only InsideEV was wise enough to share without 'talking heads.' We're looking at hypercar performance for luxury car price, $130k.

Over time, I hope to add details to this thread about the significance of this video. There is so much to cover.

Of all the presentation, the most impressive is the flat power curve. When a motor spins faster, it begins to work a little like a generator. But the voltage is reversed from the applied field. This limits the power out of the motor as it goes faster which is when aerodynamic drag, the square of velocity force, cube of the velocity power, is most needed.

Historically, this backEMF has been handled by 'field weaking' (Toyota) or 'switch reluctance' (Tesla) but these only delay the backEMF effect. Tesla has cracked the code and these motors are revolutionary. No one has anything like this.

The carbon wrapped motor allows 20,000 rpm by keeping the laminations from stretching out and even 'hand grenading'. The carbon wrap means the rotor dimensions don't have a larger, less efficient gap at low rpms. So the power comes on even faster than previous motors. Best of all, these close, rotor-to-stator dimensions are maintained across the speed range. So it is relatively more efficient and powerful.
