I subscribe to multiple forums but failed to cite a specific report: https://www.ioniqforum.com/threads/first-impressions.37692/?utm_source=threadloom&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ed761&utm_content=iss178#post-451570

For those who are lucky enough to have had a delivery, what are your first impressions?

I got mine last week and have only driven about 100 miles so far but I'm concerned I'm not going to like this car. The software is infuriating and it isn't engaging to drive, I really think I have made a mistake! Although it does look fantastic and is very practical.

First impressions weren't great when the car decided to try and attack a cyclist on a country lane and I now have to have a pre-drive routine switching all the safety rubbish off, engaging idrive (which disables itself again if reverse is selected) and trying to get comfy. Is this just specific to me coming from a Tesla or are others having similar experiences with the software that seems to have been written to emulate a diesel car?

I have not personally tested an IONIQ 5 and living in the South, there may not be an easy opportunity. This is the first report by a stranger found in my e-mail update. One report does not a trend make a definitive review but then a single 'safety' thread by one Korean agency also has the potential for problems. Let's see what the USA safety organizations, NHTSA and IIHS have to share.
