Externally Nikola's officers were say 8 minutes to fuel and 10 minutes over and over again. But internally Nikola's tech chief was saying 45 minutes. Then you have them say 80 KG of hydrogen in one spot and 61 in another but wouldn't be more like 200kg under full load if it were as efficient as the Mirai to go 600 miles? Was it supposed to be 3.3x more efficient than the Mirai? But was it even 45 minutes to fuel? I suspect that number was based on trying to mirror Tesla which is at 30 minutes to charge. You see when Nikola was way out from launch presumably based on their estimate of when they thought the Tesla semi would launch the range was if memory serves 1400 miles then it went down to 1200 miles then 800 then finally its 600 miles which is thought to be less than the Tesla under full load. Why? Proximity to the Tesla Semi. You see if oil and gas industry is behind this they don't want to imply an option any greener than the benchmark but they want to make it appear they have options- when they don't. This is normal behavior, they publically advocate things they actually vigoriously oppose and act against privately. One thing they abhor is being reduced to zero use case because that eliminates their enclosure and even their access to pork and it stops their ability to spin- zero is the goal they lose access to pivitol forums where they can spin. Suspect they wouldn't work on anything for real until the Tesla semi is in the market and then they will realize its impossible and won't even work for compliance can kicking. This fueling time thing really stood out when that youtuber (Tesla in the title of the channel like Nikola is meant to stick to Tesla) but also with BP (red flag) as a client was invited to the Nikola event (red flag) then came back saying hydrogen was good (red flag) because the Tesla Semi would take 4-8 hours to charge. Certainly this person knew better, so the lying was another red flag. But this was a sales person by self description- a sort of described Nikola as a sales (snow job)- sorry not acceptable its not a game. Person said they weren't going to be a Elon robot so they turned comments off on the video and acted indignent and were blocking people who brought it up. Now Nikola is getting critical Youtubers banned and even suing them which reminds of suing Tesla for similarity to a design Nikola apparently took from Rimac apparently without permission or disclosure. We will see. Now we see GM delaying the signing off on the Nikol deal (fossil fuel sponsored media said 'extending' as if renewing or prolonging something that was worth while,) presumably trying to buy time until Dec 3 when it can walk away from it. Some are saying GM will increase its stake beyond 11%. If it did that it will lose out on the ability to scam 80% or 1.5 billion in emissions credits out of this. Government needs to stop compliance kicking can GM from scamming the intention behind the law. Elon predicted the almost exact compliance rate of Bolt sales. GM needs to start paying Tesla for pollution credits! The video also talks about how Nikola was pitched as true green from the start with claims made by the Nikola officers in the video that it already was. In my opinion this was always a spin operation to give the oil and gas industry apparent breathing room against a true BEV electric which would hit their revenue hard. It was always a wink, wink gray sold as green hydrogen Diesel Gate style increase oil and gas or gas and oil revenue and give their stocks a ray of hope and not allow a true BEV semi (not the half arse stuff Daimler is doing) to be a pin to their total corporate welfare case ponzi balloon. So it appears this was always a PR job by the oil and gas industry to make it appear like they have options when they don't. Its what GM used it for. Its laughable that anyone wants their Ultium or Cruz stuff its all hot air and the particulars are popping that baloon of missinformation This reminds also of Lucid and all the desperate stupid head lines that try to establish that there are alternatives to Tesla from weak little start ups that can be had for a few trinkets and therefore imply no secret sauce and the implication that gas-oil has options. This is like the can kicking cushioning of their throwing coal under the bus. But its all smoke and mirrors. Lucid gets a hint that Tesla will release Plaid S at battery day. Then right before battery day claims specs that are close but tones down some of the specs like the top speed of 200mph (Plaid S is 200 plus and its just 2170s and another motor) down to current S speed and makes a comparatively slow 0-60 mph slower than current S. They want to make things seem believable because they are peddling the oil-gas has a future in the face of fires and massive decreases animal life... narrative. So they show up at Laguna without an official time with a car that will never see production stripped to the bones but could easily have a non production carbon fiber body and non production batteries good for only a few cycles and Model S motors. Look at BMW after siphioning 18 billion out of the US market through bonds by overstating its sales over the most recent 5 years and having to settle with the SEC it now says batteries are not good enough for its M series when none of its M series have performed like the Plaid S and a Tesla BEV has anihilated BMW's US ICE sales. Which other companies are over stating their sales- GM would be a good place to look. BMW was surely over stating its sales globally. It was facing injunctions around the globe for its parked vehicles spontaneously combusting- it has quality problems that are real ask anyone that has one seats that rip and plastic painted knobs. ICE and fossil fuels are a culture of corruption. Look at the embezzelment at Nissan. Ethically intact people won't work for ICE and fossil fuels. Ethically intact people don't try to help those businesses either. Look at the treatment of Diess and Hackett. Think this is part of the reason Tesla has turned more aggressive- ICE isn't needed. Tesla can do the 20 Terawatts itself with 15-20 factories and just put them under. If you want the map the the grand unified field theory of ICE-Fossil you have to look at Enron. Its just blind dumb unaccountable rent seeking and can kicking. Delay artists.
One other angle on GM Nikola is that GM would be seeking to evade its union with this Arizona company with a right to work at will state? A greater than 11% share would void its enviroment credits and bring in the Union? Who was buying these Nikola shares? The fossil fuel industry?
See that Nikola just banned that video off youtube that had their Tech chief saying it ws 45 minutes. Its the one in the op that is now null. If the fossil fuel industry loses the ability to lie to and mislead the public it and fossil oligarchy cannot survive. The petrarchy will fall if it can't lie- fall a lot faster.
