In case you haven't seen this. I'm interested in reading reactions. https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/electrify-your-classic-mini-with-this-10k-ev-swap-kit/?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_content=20_November_6_Newsletter_NewDD
Neat that they ship to the U.S.. That battery is super-expensive, so I'd try to source that Stateside.
What does one of these converted Minis weigh? Being a MINI Cooper SE owner, I won't complain about whatever range it offers. Even 40 miles would be OK if it's as much fun as my old, alliterative Morris Mini Moke.
I know only what the article says. IIRC there is a you tube about this conversion. I don't have a "classic" Mini so my interest in this conversion is just in passing (which is a kind of unintended pun). What I did find noteworthy is that "crate" electric motors and conversions are becoming a thing. GM is now offering crate Bolt motors and there are conversion shops opening up everywhere dropping electric motors in classic cars. EVWest in CA is the first shop I knew about. They use Tesla components.
