FUD industry is hitting upon outright lying to challenge BEV performance

    In the competition on towing the Model X was pitted against Ford F150s which it beat but supposedly struggled with a F250. But the scam was the F250 started early by running up its RPM and then dropping it in drive- same as popping the clutch. Might as well have a long chain between the two and have the Model X start first accelerating down a track and just as the slack runs out of the chain have the Ford F250 start that would amount to the same kind of BS.

    Noticed suddenly now the claims that the Taycan despite the EPA rating in real world driving has 373 or so miles like Model S- this is pure bs, coming from sht rags like Car and Driver. That's pure paid to lie. And of course Model S is now 390 miles.

    Noticed a Euro comparison done in the rain where they pitted a Model 3 performance against a much slower but much more expensive gas Audi (more alleged HP but much slower manufacturer rated speed claims) and they have it beating the Model 3 over and over again in a drag with the Model 3 much much slower that its demonstrated speed. Claim is ICE is suddenly beating Tesla now- again defense of ICE or ICE can come back. This was Top Gear related stuff I think.

    Let me add also that the Taycan Turbo S is still slower 0-60 than a Raven Model S at the drag strip. Remember Model S P100D does 0-60 in 2.3 seconds and its quarter mile will be better too. But for half the cost and 2x the range with radically better self driving etc... I am seeing even Drag times do some stuff on this that seems a bit questionable but there will be now way for the fudsters to power through this, the community will check their marketing BS.

    Just noticed to a claim that Taycan charges 1hr faster than Model S when both were using fastest rate charging. That is another example of pure BS. Model S battery pack is 100kwh and charge rate is 150kwh- really its going to take more than hour total even with taper off? These lies backfire. VW is making an error when it hires fool machiavellian media firms- you can't just lie to people in a connected world like about a product people care about and not have it come back on you. No way VW should ever be having any of its money go to paid lie rags like Ars Technica because it just makes them look stupid.
