Well, be sure to tell him about this website and have him update the spread sheet. Just noticed you are here in Colorado. We are up in Erie, but lived down near tech center from 1970 until 2015.
Hi all, new to the forum but have been reading lots and am really grateful for this excellent resource. Placed an order last week, added it to the spreadsheet, and looking forward to my first EV!
Just got a text asking me what day next week I would like to pick my car up. However, my garage says I'm still at the port.
Is the "MINI my garage" web thing down or is it just messing with me? Tried different devices and browsers. The login page seems screwy and when I do manage to login, I get a pretty much blank page, can't click on the tabs (like track my MINI)… Dealer says status is 150 and Ask-MINI automated says car is in production now, so that's all good. One week or less from order is faster than I remember from the two other MINIs we have had.
It's working for me, says I'm at the port. But the dealer sent me a text asking me what day this week I would like to pick it up. So maybe its not that accurate.
Same here. My dealer says they’ll get it on Friday. Curious - did anyone’s status skip the last “in transit” step and it just showed up at the dealer?
@AndGuz - When mine was transported from BALPOA to KC, only 2 days passed between the second "in transit" and "at the dealership". I'm guessing the dealership gets an itinerary or some other kind of heads-up when shipments are arriving, as they contacted me 2 days before the status changed to "in transit" for the final leg, saying it would be released from the port soon (and to ask me if I wanted any dealer-installed accessories). My timeline was: Tuesday - Dealership: "It will be released from port soon" Thursday - MINI Tracking: "In Transit" (to dealership) Saturday - MINI Tracking: "At The Dealership" Monday - Dealership: "It's here; when do you want to pick it up?"
I was haunting my dealership's lot frequently after my SE was confirmed to be on the transporter. Finally, as I was cruising slowly around the lot, looking for a MINI Cooper with yellow mirrors, my SE BURST out of the maintenance department with two mechanics out for a spin to "calibrate the tire-pressure management system." I waited an endless 5 minutes for them to return so I could finally touch and sit behind the wheel of the car I had ordered 51 weeks earlier. What an exciting day that was!
I think I might drive down there to check. It's just to bad that bitcoin took a dump this wknd, looks like I won't be paying cash.
Hey STW and Jamie, just checked with Ask Mini and Raymond said my car had left the port on May 15 with arrival in CA on June 10. Ship is Gracefull Leader. Your cars should be on the same ship. Yikpee!!!
Welp, I’ve officially been leap-frogged (leapt-frogged?) by a number of orders placed after mine. Seems I’ve had delays at every possible hub. My SE was supposed to be trucked on Sunday from the Port of Baltimore. Now it’s been there for 9 days - straight up chillin’. I’m about to day drink a glass of patience on the rocks. #cheers
Having gone through the exact same pain of my SE stuck at the Baltimore port with the carrier for two weeks, I really feel for you. But hang tough, once you get the SE you'll forget everything that came before.
Thanks, TripleD! I called and heard the same thing. The ship is currently waiting outside Charleston port...supposed to put in at around 8PM ET today...before heading south to the Canal.
My MINI is still showing "Production Begins" (since May 11), and ASK MINI tells me expected completion is May 28. I'm not sure why it's not updating, but it's a bit frustrating. Anyone else whose car is in production having the same issue?
Mine was at “Production Begins” for 13 days. “Exterior Body Assembly” began on day 14. A few more things moved pretty quickly after that.
