Tesla himself apparently approached J.P. Morgan with a crystal radio powered car. And Morgan said if we can't put a meter on it we don't want it. Buckminster Fuller said nuclear energy should make energy too cheap to meter but they will even put a meter on the wind. Fuller also said we should be all be billionaires living in perfect ecology. It was around 1950 that the paten and invention suppression laws came into being in the US gag order away any threat under color of economic disruption of fossil fuel oppression. If you want a vast criminal conspiracy there is none greater than fossil fuel induced scarcity and control and resultant authoritarianism and loss of democracy which we should have been done with in 1950 with fission and breeder reactors or even Thorium ( originally proposed fuel source.)
