I’ve always voted for Democrats. At age 70, no reason to break a perfect record.

As a Libertarian, I can either waste my vote and vote for the Libertarian Party or I can vote for the lesser evil..

As someone with a significant income, I could never vote for Democrats as they want to raise my taxes, especially capital gains.
Also, as a 2nd amendment supporter, there is also no way to vote for someone who favors an AWB and magazine limits.
As bad as Donald Trump is, I will vote for him to vote AGAINST the Democrats. Democrats want to eliminate police and disarm victims at the same time as we see it in Minneapolis and Seattle. I wouldn't have a problem with reducing the police force as long as people are armed with weapons of their choice to protect themselves against criminals. However, as we can see in Liberal States, people often get prosecuted for protecting their family and property with a gun. Minneapolis Chief of Police even said that it's best for people to comply with criminals. This is just plain scary. As a Libertarian, I do agree with Democrats on certain issues but not on the ones that personally affect me and my family, especially our safety.

As for 2016 election.. I did donate to Gary Johnson but stopped contributing as there was not significant improvement in the polls, so I saw it as a wasted effort.. The Media needs to allow the Libertarian Candidate to debate... Without that, it's close to impossible for the Libertarian Party to challenge the 2 big parties..

I am not in the business of addressing the fears of others. It won’t work because they swallowed the BIG LIE, hook line and sinker. For example, the civilized Germans followed Hitler/Gobels to their Götterdämmerung.

A former Marine, someone else’s fears have no effect on me and I’m 70 years old. How eviscerating it must feel to know running around with one’s hair on fire is simply entertaining. Cowards are not persuasive (ie. the female genitalia that Trump grabs.)

The question is what would have happened if Hitler would not have been able to disarm those he feared? Maybe Hitler would have been assascinated before killing millions. It's not just Hitler that did the same. It happened in many places like Armenia, Russia, China and other places. In the USA, any attempt to disarm the population by force will lead to a civil war. I have friends who have over 100 guns and hundred thousand rounds of ammo.. There are many, as much as 3 percent of the population that has an arsenal and are willing to use it if government attempts to infringe upon our rights. I would have no issue if they eliminate guns via constitution amendment but not via government tyranny.
Remember the bump stock ban? 300 of 500,000 sold bump stocks were turned in.. Most gun owners won't comply with any registration and if they are going to try take guns by force, it would not be a good idea.. Many .50 BMG are also in civilian hands..
As for female genitalia, Trump only talked about it and Biden actually did finger a female staffer and that's not something that she made up now during the election. Her mom actually called in on Larry King to tell her daughters story when it happened.. Biden is an actual ***** grabber while Trump is just a big mouth..

It was called 'the night of the long knives' when Hitler and his followers eliminated the SA (also called the 'brown shirts.')

About six months ago, I was at a bar when a young guy decided he wanted to strike up a conversation. Eventually, he showed images of his tricked-out M16 style rifle. So I shared my recent range photo:
    shot.png
    Going front to back:
    • A 180 grain, patched lead ball or 270 grain lead conical
      • the plastic banded ones are crap
    • Front sight is a hooded, beryllium, cross-hair
    • Rifled, 50 cal barrel
    • Rear sight is flat-screw locked peep with windage and elevation
    • Black powder, no synthetics, 60 grains for snapping in up to 120 grains to 'reach out'
    • Cap
    • Butt stock has extended, shotgun recoil pad
I was re-gifted a 50 cal, flintlock, trapper's pistol but haven't taken it to the range. Pistols never appealed to me.

The good news is the NRA is being sued out of existence:
    https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/2020/attorney-general-james-files-lawsuit-dissolve-nra

Given how the NRA executives teated the membership dues as a free piggy bank, a good thing! As Oliver North pointed out, NRA leadership are a bunch of thieves.

So do you plan to take one or more of your weapons to the polling place and help people fill out their ballots?

Polling places are off limits for concealed or open carry, so I don't carry at the polls. I'm a long time NRA member and it's absurd to shut down an entire organization as some in the organization have committed crimes.. I would like to hear the outcry if the right tries to shut down planned parenthood for crimes that it's employees have committed.. Absurd..
I'm also member of Gun Owners of America. I actually like them better as the NRA is too soft on certain things like bump stock ban.. They sold out on that one.. Anyways, bump stocks are a gimmick. I was never interested in one.. If you really want to fire fully automatic with a semi-automatic rifle... all you need is a rubber band and the knowledge how to use it.. No bump stock needed..
Trust me, barely anyone of the millions of members of those organizations would register their guns.. If they really try to register guns, it'll be like the ban on bump stocks... maybe 1% will comply... It's as absurd as registering your freedom of speech.. Maybe require sensitivity training before being allowed to voice your opinion as you could offend someone and you need a license to use your first amendment right on facebook or twitter or any other means as you could offend someone and they could commit suicide.. Words can be deadly weapons. It's ridiculous to license or restrict people's constitutional rights.
If they want a civil war, they will get it.
The left wants to ban AR15 style weapons which are used in about 2% of homicides while ignoring the guns used in 98% of homicides.. This is not about safety.. This is about controlling people..
I have never been in trouble with the law except for speeding tickets but I will not abide by any unconstitutional laws.

Living in Alabama, I used to see open carry from time-to-time. Then businesses said, "No shoes, no shirts, carry guns, no service." I figured the kid at the bar was just Jonesing for his substitute phallus that the bar did not allow.

The NRA governance allowed the abuse. Regardless, the Auto Workers Union was not delisted given how badly their recent leaders acted. My late Dad was an NRA member even after his age infirmities had make weapon safety (and judgement) a safety hazard. We lost two deputies in Limestone County when they were checking on an older, live-alone man.

We know from pre-Roe (I'm that old) about the sudden, unplanned 'European vacations' and emergency room sepsis and deaths. Nothing like ignorance and "just say no" to increase the demand. Regardless, your assertions, I've heard them so many times especially after the next mass shooting. So let's leave on a happy note:

The left doesn't want to ban the guns responsible for 98% of gun homicides.. They want to ban the guns used in 2% of the homicides.. Only about 200 people per year are killed by AR15 style weapons.. That's 2% of all the gun homicides..
This is NOT about safety.. This is about CONTROL. As for Roe, I think that Roe was the correct ruling and I support abortion rights. Of course, even if Roe was outlawed, people would fly to Canada to have their abortions there.. and many would happen in back rooms by unqualified "doctors"... Banning abortions is as absurd as banning AR15's.. I'm not a fan of carrying openly as I prefer the element of surprise.. I carry concealed at any places where I legally can which is basically any place except for police or sheriff stations, sporting events, court houses, post offices and the secure part of the airport.. Airport carry is allowed but not at the area past security.. Bank Carry is allowed... Church carry is allowed.. Businesses can ban guns from their busiess but you can ignore it as it's not illegal to ignore it.. They only thing that they can do is to ask you to leave and if you don't, you can be charged with trespassing.. but not for concealed carrying on their property.. Gotta love Florida Gun Laws.. except for the unconstitutional red flag laws where they reverse the burden of proof..

Well, the left would like to ban all the guns if they could.. Their strategy is to slowly erode our 2nd amendment rights..
    First it's registration.
    Then it's banning certain guns..
Then confiscation of those guns or INVOLUNTARY buyback..
Then limiting magazine size.. First 10 rounds. then 5 rounds then 1 round
Then they will limit caliber.. Nobody needs a .45.. A .22 LR is powerful enough..

Gun owners will resist the erosion of our rights. It clearly says "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" in the 2nd amendment.. The "militia" as mentioned in the 2nd amendment refers to EVERY ARMED CITIZEN and not a government sponsored militia. When we fought the british, the "Militia" was every able bodied man or woman with a gun and the constitution's meaning doesn't change with time automatically. It's not a living organism.. There is a process to amend it. They have to follow it or they will cause civil unrest..

Sorry, you’ve been suckered into the “big lie.” Once fooled, nothing short of painful experience can change your mind. Sad because I’ve worked with others who could solve difficult problems in technical areas. As we said in the Marines, ‘Let God sort them out.’

I'm not one of those guys who buys a lot of weapons.. If the sh&& hits the fan, I can't carry 20 guns anyways.. I focused only on ammo and have enough for a civil war...especially 7.62 x 39...

Unfortunately, I lost all my guns and mags in a tragic boating accident... gunsandmags (1).jpg

Better to buy more weapons and ammo than waste your time and money advocating for Donald Trump. Prices will never be this cheap again.

I'm not "for" Donald Trump.. I'm AGAINST the anti constitution Democrats. As I said, I'm Libertarian, not Republican and I dislike BOTH big parties as they are corrupt to the CORE and neither of them represents the people. They represent their corporate donors. If it wasn't for the 2nd amendment, I would vote for Jo Jorgensen but that issue is just too important. Don't forget.. I come from a country where many were murdered by their government AFTER government passed gun control. Even though this was before I was born, I am very well aware of it.

We used to say a Libertarian is just a Republican who smokes dope. Then there are the "log cabin" Republicans. Regardless, use or ignore your vote as you wish.

I'll be voting straight Democratic ticket as I've done since I could vote. I almost voted for Jerry Ford except he only pardoned Nixon and not the draft resisters. Jimmy Carter who I did vote for pardoned the draft resisters.

Actually, Libertarianism is what Liberalism USED TO BE. If I would've been alive during JFK and in the US, I would have voted for JFK. JFK was a classical Liberal which is now LIBERTARIANISM. JFK said "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country".. Today's Socialists that call themselves Democrats stand for exactly the opposite.. "Give me Free stuff.. Free College, Free Healthcare etc.".
    Republicans support the endless wars
    Libertarians OPPOSE the endless wars
    Republicans oppose Gay Marriage
    Libertarians SUPPORT Gay marriage
    Republicans OPPOSE abortion rights
    Libertarians SUPPORT abortion rights
Republicans SUPPORT victimless crimes to be crimes
Libertarians OPPOSE victimless crimes to be crimes
Republicans SUPPORT spending more on our military than the rest of the world COMBINED
Libertarians OPPOSE spending that much on our Military.. Yes, we should have the strongest military in the world but not stronger than the rest of the world combined.

I consider myself very liberal on SOCIAL issues
I consider myself very conservative on fiscal issues
    I'm a CAPITALIST
Republicans and Democrats ALIKE are CORPORATIST!
    I'm an Atheist..
    Republicans are usually Christians.
Theocrats like Pence or Ted Cruz make me want to puke..

My #1 issue are CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS and not just select ones.
Both, Democrats and Republicans support the constitutional rights that they like but oppose others.. They are BOTH Hypocrites.

Left Leaning 9th Circuit Court just ruled that California's ban on Magazine Capacity is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!
Both, Biden and Harris support UNCONSTITUTIONAL magazine capacity bans..

Since I prefer to fire single barrel, muzzle loaders, no effect on my shooting. What we learned and practiced in the Marines:

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will ...

My rifle and I know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit ...

My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will ...

Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but peace!

On the range, we used up to 10 rounds in the M14 or M16. Promotions were tied to annual marksmanship and the twice a year physical fitness tests. Sad to say, I only shot sharpshooter in boot camp with the M14 but expert with the M16 every time after bootcamp. BTW, my M16 was fully automatic. Our combat load was 18 rounds in the 20 round magazine to minimize loss of spring tension and subsequent miss feeds.
