Speaking of pricing; anybody noticed that they bumped up the main price (used to be called MSRP) by $200. It used to be $51,999. This is my sticker on VIN 0222xx.
Yes; Calgary dealer phoned 5 Feb to say transport arrived. It's now in my house-garage. Check the instrument panel pic with only 59 km on the odometer. Probably 16 km from dealer to my house means ~40 km prior (with all the stickers and protective sheets ? in Korea ?) Dealer drove it to my place with under 40% battery, and low pressure tire warning on the front-left and rear- left tires. I charged to 100% on the (trickle) level 1 portable charger.
Congratulations! Sloppy customer service though. You have to wonder what they are thinking to not charge the car and deal with tire pressure.
I'm imagining this happening to me and I can just see myself going off like a bomb. It would be the straw that would definitely break this particular camel's back.
I think you would likely just want to see the backside of them, and not even want to expend the energy to go off like a bomb. I speak from experience lol.
CJC, so happy you finally got your car!! Was it worth the wait? Has anybody been using the Blue Link app for the Kona? Anybody had any trouble with it? First we had trouble registering the car to activate it, the website wouldn't accept our VIN so we had to phone Blue Link, it took about three days for them to get back to us that they'd fixed the problem. When we tried to pre-heat the car the next morning we kept get a "sorry we cannot process your request" sort of message. We've phoned them again and they said it will be another 3 business days. Mentioned to them that our subscription start date should be pushed back as we haven't been able to use any of the features yet and we got "oh I don't have the authority to do that" but we will definitely be following that up again.
I picked up my car on Saturday and I have not been able to use the climate controls on the Blue Link app. I called first thing Monday morning and was given a claim #. I followed up today but the problem is still not resolved. For me the climate control is the most important feature of the app. My previous car had a remote starter so I have been spoiled/used to a warm car in the morning and when I leave work at the end of the day.
Does the key fob have the remote start function? Just curious, I could wait until tomorrow when I pick mine up to find out I guess...
We have a thread discussing BlueLink joys (and problems). Feel free to update us there on your issue. This way, other owners with BlueLink issues of their own are more likely to find it.
So the ultimates are trickling in, the infratructure (blue link) is coming on line. No news on the preferred trim though. Anyone else on the thread waiting for one?
It was worth the wait! Lovely little car. My husband finds it a little small for his liking but it will be my car so that is okay. The Michelin CrossClimate tires are working out great with our recent snowfall. We have very good traction. We are using the BlueLInk app. I had to phone and register it with them as I couldn't complete the registration on the app. The fellow went through all my set up to ensure I had entered everything properly, and then he waited to ensure that it was all good when I tried using it. Very helpful. I should have gotten his name as it sounds like he went the extra mile as it is working as it is supposed to. The whole thing took maybe 10 minutes max.
No remote starter on the Key Fob - all done through BlueLink app (which so far has worked as advertised for me). The coolest feature is the climate scheduling, where you tell the car when you leave every morning, and it's heated and ready to go for you. I tried it one morning by setting it to 8am, and I noticed the heater on and running a full 15 minutes before in anticipation of my arrival to the drivers seat. Love it.
Awesome! I pick mine up tomorrow and will (hopefully if Bluelink is set up) try it for work Friday morning!
We were told that the dealer has to register BlueLink and it would take about a week and we would get an email. I ignored that and had my dealer contract in front of me when I phoned BlueLink as soon as we got home. Got it registered then and there, but I had filled out all the info. on my app first before calling BlueLink. Let us know when you get your Kona!
In my case I received an email from BlueLink on the Monday the dealer received the vehicle. When I picked it up on the Friday, I registered about an hour before going to the dealer and everything seemed to work ok. The cool thing was I had full control of the car and was even watching the charge status on the app, before even picking up my car. lol
