Quick question- I track various basic data on my Kona, mileage etc. However, unlike a ICE car where I can precisely tally the number of gallons going in and the number of miles coming out, it would be a difficult job to log and add every kWh I charge it, and it would probably be off since there is some loss involved between meter and battery. In lieu of that, is there a way I can get the Kona computer to tell me the number of kWh’s the car has consumed in its lifetime? I would be ccurious to check that out.
Yes, you need two parameters, Cumulative Energy Charged and subtract Cumulative Energy Discharged, what I call the "energy odometers." Unfortunately for those of us with older cars, pre-March 2020, the software updates applied last year zeroed-out these values so we're starting again. There are many posts on how to read those so I won't repeat that here. Search for CEC, CED.
