This is laughable and its an example of a bribery based ratings organization- a bit like CR lately or always like any of the 'sponsored' (read bribed) media mags. Must have paid a lot for this.

Forget about culture or anything else. Start with Chevy is a dying brand that hollows out its products stealing from its customers to give to its parasite share holders. Honda was never about that and it shows in the quality of their products which are superior.

Now we hear about GM partnering with Honda. What does Honda get out of that. And what would GM even be able to absorb from Honda? Is this like GM partnering with LG? So GM can let LG make the batteries and Honda the cars in GMs normal outsourcing style. And both will use Waymo as was always obvious. GM is a ad company that still outsources its ads.

Honda gets GM's battery technology: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a31226611/gm-ultium-electric-vehicle-battery-revealed/ "General Motors claims that through its joint venture with LG Chem, announced late last year, will drive their battery costs down to below $100 per kWh." Honda also gets access to GM's truck line designs. Honda has failed to significantly penetrate the US pickup truck market.

GM gets Honda's superior ICE technology and Honda's hybrid designs. GM will also get access to the design of Honda's car and SUV lines. Lately GM has been pulling back from traditional cars.

It is clearly a win - win for the two companies.

Come on Tesla will be under $100 at the pack level. Honda only hasn't penetrated US pick ups because of a 25% tarif designed to keep Toyota and Honda out.
I read what Dominick said and am aware they are doing a battery plant but Ultium seems like a joke. Its got that huge transmission tunnel bulge. Everything we need to know about GM we learned from GM rejecting CARB and partnering with Nikola. Its not serious its kick the can.

Honda hasn't penetrated the US pickup market because they don't have a full-sized truck that competes with Silverado, F-150, etc. Honda builds most of the vehicles it sells in the US here, so tariffs are irrelevant.

That is simply wrong. Honda and Toyota were destroying big 3 on small trucks. That tariff in trucks was meant to keep them out and it was effective. They probably didn't push it because they knew the US would stiffen it and demand more access to the Japanese market where they have zero access and market share.
