Hi, it’s now 2024 and I want to install a hitch on my 2019 Kona EV the photos are a great help.
Any advice on which hitch to order?

  3. Go back in the thread and look at my U-Haul install. Worked very well, and was cheap.

  4. I detailed installing a Draw-Tite #24976 hitch on my 2019 Kona. The posts started on May 5th, 2019 in this thread. It has worked out great. Good luck!

  5. The Draw-Tite #24976 hitch will work on the Kona EV. A bit of a pain to install. Good to have a 'second set of hands' to complete. Good luck.

  6. I also identified by part number both a Hyundai harness and Curt hitch in my previous posts.

It would be nice to 'pin' a summary of the possible solutions to this task as the topic is now up to 12 pages. Not an expert on how these thread systems work...

A lot of worry about warranty on this model. I think that is unwarranted (ha ha). I installed both flush rack mounting bars and trailer hitch in the first few weeks of leasing the 2019 Kona. Flush bar install required dropping the headliner and drilling the roof. Hitch required cutting the lower rear faring. No one at Hyundai even batted an eye and my salesman said mods to the car can not void warranty unless you really break something. That being said, Hyundai happily replaced both gear box and motor when it started making the 'card in the spokes' noise. I think if they were going to blame a hitch they would have to prove it was the hitch. And we know it wasn't the hitch.
