Hello all, Currently driving a range rover Velar. I am wanting to have a more fun and sporty driving experience. So far I have narrowed my choice down to 1. A 2-3 year old used Taycan 4S with 25'000km on the clock 2. The Model 3 performance (probably wait for the highlight one next year) 3. A brand new BMW i4 M50 these are all the options in my budget. What are your thoughts?
You should check out InsideEVs' MINI Cooper SE forum to read posts from the most enthusiastic EV owners. There is no more fun EV. Fortunately, BMW didn't weigh it down with a ton of batteries, so it handles great. If, on the other hand, acceleration is what you equate with sportiness, there will soon be a Ludicrous Model 3.
I kinda like the BMW i3-REx, 2017-2018. It is a quick and brisk EV with highway cross-country capabilities. Used ones are reasonably priced, now. Bob Wilson
I second considering a MINI Cooper SE. I love a fun car, and have had quite a few fun ones, but my MINI Cooper SE is probably the most fun car I have owned. Total blast to drive, great handling, quick, just tons of smiles per mile. If you can handle the range, it is pretty hard to beat.
