    FSD now costs $8,000. I think the consensus is that it's worth $5,000. So still a ways to go.

    I bought FSD in Oct 2019 for $6,000.

    Does that cover all FSD updates? What if they change the hardware required to support a new FSD release?

    So far, yes. My hardware 2.5 was updated already to 3.0. However 4.0 is not backwards compatible.

    Everything has an ‘end of life’ which means no further maintenance. For example an ancient cable modem I could only fix with my iPhone 7 yesterday. Another expense avoided.
