June 19-21, I drove to Auburn Hills for a Munro Open House. My 2019 Model 3 has a peak charging rate of 178 kW so V2 (150 kW max) or V3 (250 kW max) Superchargers didn't really impact my trip time because of the triangular charging curve. Every Supercharger stall worked the first time:

Yea I like these travel logs ... EA is pretty expensive, but the tend to throw in a free charge now and again. I looked up My Feb trip PHX-ABQ ~450 miles each way cost me:

I Picked up some free electrons in ABQ at an EA while I was there. No outlets/stations at the hotel I was at.

    29.84+11.16+12.05 = 53.05
    2.49+28.38+21.91 = 52.78

Obviously left home will a full charge and arrived back at home needing one. So it looks like Tesla electrons in Detroit are somewhat less expensive, TOU is around 0.08/kwh at night, figure .10 * 50 = $5.00 more for the home charge. You might note on the way out, I was not familiar with the route, so I stopped twice along I-40. Knowing the stations for the return trip, I topped off while shopping at Wal-Mart, and did 2 ~180+mi stints between charges for 2 return legs, only charged to 70% in Show Low late in the evening. I put the butt toasters on full, heat on the lowest setting 62 or something (Can't have fog on the windows). Temps were hovering at or below freezing most of the way, very little precip'. Coasted down the mountain for the final leg warmed up quite a bit about 2/3 of the way down, not much movement on the GOM, made it home with 20% ish.

At the charging station in Show Low it was somewhat chilly (10F, next to the snowflake). I had the heat roaring at 80 while charging :) ::
