  3. Looks good! What are the dimensions of that particular storage bin?

  5. Hi all, just wanted to report that I took my Kona in for a routine service appointment today, and was told by the Service Manager that my Frunk installation might result in the rejection of a warranty claim in the future. This has been brought up by forum members before, so I was aware of this possibility, and I had previously removed the Frunk before taking the car in for previous appointments, including when the battery was replaced. But this last time I had not removed it, so now the cat is out of the bag and I am contemplating my options. The sensible one is just to permanently remove the frunk, at least while the vehicle warranty is in effect. It is not really a big deal, and it was more for the fun of doing the project than the need for storage space. On the other hand, how likely will it be that I will need to file a warranty claim? After 50 years of car ownership, it has been my experience that breakdowns or major repairs always seem to be needed after the warranty has expired. Maybe EVs are different? My Kona is a 2019 model and has only one year of warranty left, I think. We just get 3 years/60,000km I believe. Anyway I am asking forum members who have installed frunks how they are handling this situation. Thanks. .....Rickker

  6. I think the key word here is "might". The service manager is just doing their job by advising you of that risk.

I modeled the retention grommets for the engine cover in Fusion 360 - Printed in TPU 95A they lock into the cover and latch onto the engine same as the ridiculously expensive OEM parts

If your dealer gives you issues with the Frunk box, print these so you can swap in the cover easily.
If anyone wants a modification to the design, PM me with a description and I'll try to accommodate

  9. Oh they get their knickers in a twist with just about anything. They even felt compelled to document that I left my motor's beauty cover off one of times the Kona went for service.
