No, we like the E-Tron, I think we will keep it around long term, although I rarely get to drive it as the Mrs. has taken it over.
Psst! Nobody tell "David Green" that "Top Gear" fumbled the race badly, and set up the "Raven" Model S in the energy-conserving, low-performance "range" mode -- five times in a row! -- which is the only reason it lost the drag race to the Porsche Taycan. Here is InsideEVs news coverage of how "Top Gear" badly dropped the ball: "Musk Calls Top Gear 'Low Gear' As It Doubles Down On Race Result" Let's hope it was an honest mistake this time, and not another case of "Top Gear" faking a poor performance by a Tesla car, as happened some years back when the "Top Gear" TV show faked their result of a track test of the Gen I Roadster.
The S vs Taycan is like comparing a Lexus LS and a Panamera. The way I see it the Raven S is only compared to the Taycan because there are so few BEV’s on the market. They are vastly different cars, made for a different purpose. The fact that the S is comparable at all astounds me. I want to see how the plaid S stacks up. That will be the first S with any serious cooling and aero geared towards performance. Roadster 2.0 v Taycan will probably be a joke. Most of Tesla’s focus seems to be on scaling production and lowering costs with performance as a fun side project. Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
