I think it may be their server and not the update. I haven’t updated and mine went from always updating everything to just updating the odometer. Gerrrr!
Ours just updated - accurate as of 6:04 AM. It still doesn't have the "time to charge" info, which is annoying. (Updated app, out of touch for a couple days consistent with most of you).
I wonder if someone could tell me what the normal usual update frequency is. My Hondalink, from day one 6 weeks ago, updates less than every 24 hours and seemingly at random (unrelated to charge status etc) so is minimally useful. For example, right now it shows “charging, 55%”....from 36 hours ago. This is not new or related to an update. I wrote this off as “Hondalink is useless” (maybe cell coverage for Honda's network is poor here) but sounds like it’s actually useful. What should I expect in terms of update frequency? (As a side note, I really wish Hondalink could use my home wifi. The car is connected when in the garage, but it seems to be that wifi connections are used only for purposes of playing music, not connecting to world at large. )
I looked and my charge/ev range appear accurate. The car location updated as well. I looked about an hour and a half ago this morning and it hadn't updated, so whatever they did server side they must have just pushed out. Regardless I'm glad it's working.
Mine started working again this morning also. I had called into the tech support line yesterday and they opened a ticket, claiming to know nothing about it. The same thing happened when I opened a ticket on the HV range issue and they never got back to me on the open ticket even after they finally admitted it was a bug they need to fix. Wasted a lot of people's time in both cases. Honda support is now officially annoying.
I don't see any change yet, on my Android phone. For those of you who have, are you on Android or Apple devices? Has the app version been updated? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Inside EVs mobile app
I'm not seeing an update in Google Play. I'm still on v 3.6.0 Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Inside EVs mobile app
3.6.0 here too, that update was last week I think. I didn't mean to imply that there was an update that solved the problem, just that my app is current.
So, no new update on the app, still on 3.6.0, but you are now again seeing current charge status on HondaLink - true? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Inside EVs mobile app
That's right. My wife took it for a short drive this morning and the app updated as usual. Preconditioning worked as well.
Thanks. I just selected "Stop Charging" in HondaLink, and after a bit of cycling, it again reports the current Charge & Range info. It must have been a server problem that Honda fixed this morning. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Inside EVs mobile app
The app was released on 5 June. The problem began on 12 June. I have not updated the app and yet I have the problem. It is not the app.
The app on my iPhone was not reporting charge status or battery status. Turns out the email that was used to set it up had a typo. Not sure if I did it or the dealer.
There was a new update to app pushed through last night. My app is working correctly today. Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
I updated the app. The location date, the location, odometer date, and the odometer didn't update from June 10th. I went to our Clarity, turned it on, selected HondaLink, waited until the satellite icon at the top of the touchscreen stopped blinking. I turned off the car. All data is now current. So nothing changed with the update as far as I can tell.
