'19 touring. Selling price - $29600 (22% below MSRP) OTD - 32604 (8.25% tax) Also bought 8yr/120k honda care for 1.6k Went through the internet dept. Walked in only after the price was negotiated. Dealerships must be getting deep discounts on these. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anderson has 32.5k on their website. I was able to get oakland to go from 33.5k(quote on phone) to 30.9k with little to no negotiation. I tried to get anderson, oakland and Hayward to beat $29.6K, none of them would do it. So it might be close to the bottom but definitely not the bottom. My guess is dealer cost is 25% below MSRP. If anyone needs the price list of honda care, please PM me.
Wowww! Congratulations! Pricing has come down a long way, I bought my 2018 Clarity (not Touring) for $31,500 ($35K after TTL) in July of 2018 in Seattle, WA.
Haven't seen any 2020 datapoints... I did notice on Costco website it now shows a 2020 MY mfr to dealer incentive for 2/14/20 through 3/2/2020. Only $2k though... (vs $4k on the 2019s)
Congratulations! Can you share the name of the dealer and/or contact information of the sales representative?

Costco site updated the incentives, now shown for 1/07/20 through 3/31/2020. No change, $4k for 2019 and $2k for 2020.
22% below MSRP is a great deal. So if you are not in California and you have to order from local dealer in indiana say ... does that mean you have no leverage to negotiate price?
Doesn't "leverage" usually stem from a dealer trying to move a car that's already on the lot? I suppose a nice dealer could choose to charge less than MSRP on a special-order car if the margins are great enough to make up for the hassle of placing the special order.
I think the leverage he's referring to would be your implied ability to take your business to another dealer for a similar car (less than 1,500 miles away).
Do you guys think the incentives will increase again for 2019/2020? Some dealers seem to have lot of the 2019s still in stock.
The 2020 has a $2000 incentive, the 2019 is still $4000. Probably depends on sales if they will extend or change the amount. However, the initial incentives largely came from unsold inventory in places that don't buy hybrid vehicles, this year they are selling mainly in California where such vehicles are common.
Someone should load up all those unsold 2019 Claritys in California and send them to the east coast so we can get those great discounts.
