it does not change during driving.. Every 2 or 3 days, when I start driving, it starts at level 2 again in eco mode..
Its funny that you mention that because I have experienced something similar, but I thought maybe it was something I set with the paddles. I'll keep an eye out and won't use them for a bit.
Interestingly, the setting for regeneration based on driving mode is set in the multimedia screen and not on the dash. I would have expected this setting to be found in the dash menu.
or you could run into the weird issue i seen tonight, i had set my eco regen to default to 3, as ive been just getting in and changing it daily, figured make my life easier, but after driving it, it felt as if it was level 2....displaying level 3, go in and flip the settings on the fly back to level 2 default and tap the paddle to switch to level 3 regen and it works like it should. switch it back to level 3 automatically and it again regens like level 2 ( you could actually see on level 3 by default it would do 2 bars off go pedal, but if set to level 2 in eco mode then paddle shifting to level 3 it would regen 3 bars ( tested same spot same speed two times to verify) ) must be some weird bug
I fixed my issue, i tried it again today, same thing. so i ended up factory defaulting everything, then setting things up again and now it works right. so happy about that, didnt really want to have to take it to the dealer or switch it regularly
There is definitely some kind of software bug in the system. I hope that Hyundai will eventually provide a software update. I doubt that this is anything related to the mechanics.
Just noticed something a little annoying this morning. In the back cargo area, I always used the cargo tie-down net. I heard something rolling around on Friday which I thought was off as everything is usually nicely secured. I noticed one of the little "metal" hooks that the net clips into was broken. Upon closer inspection, they're not at all metal. Just crappy plastic painted chrome. I've attached photos. I wonder if that'll be considered warranty or if they'll just assume I was carrying something too big and they broke. Guess we'll see!
Driving to work today (~55km commute) the map got stuck at an intersection about 8 blocks from my home and didn't move for the rest of the trip. I tried turning Navigation on and off which didn't help. I don't use the built-in map so that wasn't really an issue, but I do like having the current speed limit showing in the heads-up display so it was stuck at 50 km/h the whole way (and how I first noticed the map was stuck). I'm assuming when I restart the car it will be working again.
They have allot of nerve using plastic hooks in a car they claimed was an SUV. You and I have both discover this the hard way. A couple of standard bungee cords and it broke in two places. My fear is that these may parts may not be available. I would think they may only come with the actual hatch cover. But even if they are available I would rather have an upgraded metal loop. I wonder if the gas versions have the same poser tie downs? CNC alloy tiedowns would be a nice aftermarket accessory.
Well here's something I just noticed that I do not like: my radio gets serious interference from the electric motor. I was listening to AM and when I accelerated (and to a lesser extent regenerated) there was audible electrical interference with the radio signal. You know when you put a hockey card in your spokes on a bike? It sounded like that, only with oscillating interference instead of cardboard ratta-tatta-tatta. Not good.
Couldn't help myself. I haven't listen to AM for years. I haven't noticed any interference, but I find the fin antenna is not the greatest. My reception is not quite as good as my previous CRV
All my local news stations are AM. And I agree, the shark fin antenna does not pull in signals very well.
Your AM station isn't rebroadcast in HD radio? I listen to both AM NEWS 1130 and TSN 1040 here in Vancouver BC all the time and they are in HD radio. So happy to have that finally as the overhead bus lines don't interfere when I am driving into town!
