Also, I don't know if this could be related to the HondaLink communication issue but the navigation system has been behaving oddly since yesterday. It will "calculate" up to 92% and then start all over again. I had to cancel the route and restart it over three times until it finally got it.

If GM only hadn't discontinued the Volt...

This highlights a difference with Schedule Climate compared to Schedule Charge. The charge schedule is stored in the car. You can modify the charge schedule either inside the car or by using the app (which then immediately communicates the new schedule to the car via the Honda server and cell network). When the appointed charge time arrives charging will begin regardless of whether or not the car has communication with the server at that moment. However if communication is lost and you want to change the schedule you have to do that in the car.

Schedule Climate is different, the climate schedule is stored on the Honda server not in the car. You can only modify the climate schedule using the app. When the appointed climate time arrives, if the Honda server has no communication with the car at that moment, climate will not turn on.

(note the above is only by inference from observing how the two systems work and don't work in various situations)

Calling back - cannot turn on Climate control from the app.. Looks like someone screwed up the last update - fixed something, broke something else.

You should probably check Start Charge and Schedule Charge, those probably don't work either, although if yours is like the others who have the problem you will still be receiving up to date charging information in the app.

I don't think it's related to updates, more likely a problem with certain accounts like the last problem. The previous Hondalink update was in July and then people started having a problem on September 5th while still on that same update. By the time we all realized it was not just a temporary problem it was already the weekend. On Monday September 9th it was fixed in the accounts that had the problem. They also released an app update that day but personally I don't think the app update is what fixed it because some people including me had the problem briefly reoccur later that day even after the app update.

I suspect the app update on September 9th contained something that was supposed to help keep the problem from reoccurring, but even so on September 17th it stopped working for many people, with similar but slightly different symptoms (last time the charge update screen was stuck on prior data, this time it is updating). I suspect that like the last time not everyone is having the problem, although I don't think I have seen confirmation yet from anyone that Start Charge, Schedule Charge and Turn On Climate are working for them.

I confirm, turn on climate, climate schedule, charging schedule etc, doesn't work on my side too. I'm on iPhone and in Canada (Quebec).
Strangely, since a couple days, I don't get the notifications when the battery is full (charging has stopped). I got the car in july and I always got the notification before. Not anymore. I have to guess now or look for the tiny green dot.
Does anyone still get the notification when charging has stopped?

The app started working again this morning, I am able to schedule charge and turn on climate. First time it worked for me since the problem started on Tuesday.

Just checked and was able to turn on climate. But, I used to get a notification saying that Climate has been turned On, but did not get that this time.

App started working today this morning, at least allowing me to check charge status, which is what I use it for most of the time. Hope everything else works for everybody. BTW, I also started again getting notifications when charge is complete, functionality lost in the previous update. Will see what happens when IOS 13 hits the fan...
