It was a joke in response to what I thought was a joke from you. I know the C8 and Mini SE discounts off MSRP only because I have deposits sitting on each. You should probably browse the Toyota RAV4 Prime page: https://insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/rav4-prime-price-paid.10380/ to find your answer/ask your question. Good luck!
Torrey... Orland Toyota in Tinley Park, IL (Chicagoland) claims they can: https://www.orlandtoyota.com/2021-toyota-rav4-prime-for-sale/ For shits and grins I called them for INsightMAN and was told they have none on the lot, but they can order one for me through their affiliated dealerships.
I knew about the SE in 2019 when it was reviewed pre-production. I saw a news report from the head of BMW saying that the SE was coming to Australia and immediately rang the local MINI dealer. They hadn't heard that we were getting them - they rang head office who confirmed it. I put a deposit down immediately (in January 2020). The contract was "subject to test drive" which I managed in late July. It took till September to get the little beast. So count me as one of those who ordered sight unseen based on reviews of pre-production cars. Would my decision change with what I know now? Not a chance
You actually did wait longer. I ordered in September 2019, but production models did not find their way into customers' hands until the next March. So I waited only 24 weeks after production for customers began.
Makes my 13 week wait (from deposit date) seem trivial. And mine had a 30-day delay with the model year switch. So the order date to delivery was 9 weeks.
