Just a heads up if anyone is interested in a new Volt. On October 1st, the tax credit will drop again from $3750 to $1875. Dealers with Volts know this and are interested in trying to move them in September. You should be able to get something like a $10-$14k discount depending on MSRP. That coupled with the $3750 tax credit makes the car get to a relatively reasonable price. Many manufacturers are moving away from PHEVs, so the list of what I consider good options isn't that long. I just don't see me going full electric for a few more years until charging infrastructure gets better and maybe charging times also decrease.
