I am happy with my PHEV to date. I check my MPG the old fashion way. Divide trip miles by gallons at each fill up. I've averaged 44mpg. Generally this is my commuter car. I have 25 mile one-way trip. I basically run on battery in the morning and gasoline in the afternoon.
What I'd like to find out is.... can a PV solar module be mounted to the car and the battery get charged while I'm driving?
Did Mitsubishi include a provision for that. I've seen pictures of thin film PV adhered to the hood of a car. I think it would be great to charge the battery with solar while I'm driving.
