LOL. Such a CYA lame statement! If it was Elon, he would have claimed AEB and Autocrash (oops, I mean Autopilot) saved the day!
Or he could come up with stories of shorts throwing flying trees and lamp posts hitting his cars to cause damage and negative press. ;)

In other news, SCF (shorty cyber force) has found a hyuuge pile up of tesla model 3 inventory cars. Just search twitter.
It looks it it will be few quarters for Tesla to get rid of these Model 3 inventory.
Say hello to discount galore.

Great News! Per GasBuddy, gasoline prices are going up too:

Those Model 3 cars will soon have more customers.

In 42 days, we'll have the Q1 2019 production numbers. In 72 days, we should have the quarterly financials. By then we should get confirmation of the big bond payment.

Interesting, as I just checked the car buying link: https://www.myev.com/?utm_source=insideevs.com&utm_campaign=IEVmenu
    • Model S
    • Model X
    • no Model 3
Perhaps @Domenick can hook you up with them so they can add the Model 3 to their pull-down list.

Well we won't know until we see the Q1 reports. However, so far I haven't been impressed with the updates to the Tesla inventory website referenced in the article you posted a few weeks ago. Since there is no weekly update, the information isn't all that meaningful.

    https://tslaq.org/tesla-inventory-storage-sites/

    From the above website:

"The current list of 52 sites represent about 5000 cars, which is substantially lower than inventory calculated from Tesla’s own public statements."

The above statement isn't exactly leading me to believe "the sky is falling."

Ahhhhaaaaaa! Found them ... in China.

Photos taken today at Tianjin Free Trade Zone near Xingang Port, Tianjin, China. Since arriving on Monday this is the very first photos of @Tesla Model 3 Shipment to China. Photo Credit to 李大锤同学微博 via @Weibo

Curious, I could find no reference to the Tripp or Nichola Motors lawsuits. There was a generic reference to patent infringement under risks but nothing specific.

  13. If it's in there it's probably collected in a statement about lawsuits in general. The Nikola lawsuit, I believe, isn't going anywhere.

Well, I wasn't talking about that. Yesterday cyber sleuths discovered a yuuge pile up of Model 3 inventory, stashed in various lots around US. These were found in Tesla's own system, thanks to its poor web interface. See this thread for enlightenment. It's like months of Model 3 inventory for US. Little surprise then, that Tesla let go many workers from their assembly lines.

Most likely, by now, Elon has fired his entire web app team and has removed that interface. :( For letting the cat out of the bag.

And to your point, we will not know even AFTER the Q1 report. Because Elon is too cunning to come clean and report the inventory as it is. Tesla just reports "in transit to customers", whatever it means. Not the inventory.
The only thing you can look at is th e"finished goods inventory" and take a guess.
Such is the transparency from a guy who calls for "Prav duh"!

Come on now. Every Tesla car comes with AEB. That is standard in even Corolla and Civic. Now, don't tell me that the driver has to "activate" AEB :)

But if the accident was avoided, there will be too much tea leaf reading to prove that Autopilot was active. If no proof, then it's also okay to ASSUME that autopilot was the savior.

Less than 3 weeks ago. Elon pronounced in the Q4 earnings call, that he is not worried about demand. And he is not going to start leasing, because it hurts cash flow. Now, Electrek is reporting that (Elon ate a crow on that) and he is starting leasing for Model 3.
    Conclusion?

PS: The part in parenthesis is added by me of course. Fred Lambert will never say such things about Elon, even if it is him who sends the crow to Elon. Remember the $5k refund?

  17. Lots of new cars car with AEB, of course. And lots of new cars crash every day. That doesn't mean their AEB was faulty.

Well if they are building more cars without the laid off workers , then clearly they are not needed.

Well, it's not up to Tesla to make your job of analyzing the company easy for you. They simply have to meet the legal requirements. If you truly believe that Tesla is in trouble, then increase your short position in the stock. However, note that we will continue to point out your short position and suggest anyone reading your posts to take everything you say with a huge dose of skepticism.

As to your Twitter posts, I want to see conformation from a reputable reporting source.

Ah yes. Shooting for the bare minimums! Sometimes Tesla misses that too, gets sued often for stiffing the customers. :(
But I was only commenting on your earlier remarks on "we will know the inventory after Q1 report". No, we will not.

Yes, I adjust my positions as I see fit. Tesla is doing lots of things wrong and in a fair world, it will have to pay for those someday. But I can't underestimate the power of Tesla cult and Teslemmings like @bwilson4web and other similar folks. And also realize that the country's systems are flawed, that omit crimes committed by billionaires and mega corps.

Well, you linked to Yahoo Finance. That's like complaining that you dived into a trash can and didn't come up with a good meal! I've never tried to survey that forum as I have Reeking Alpha in the past, but from comments from others, it's only "better" than Reeking Alpha because the volume of posts there is far lower.

My guess is that Elon was very, very glad to see this news.

    Go Rivian!

Tesla shares tumble after Consumer Reports criticize Model 3

Built tent tough. Cult, yes. The market size will be that of Porsche. Yay!

But of course, Elon was quick to cover it up with more lies.
    * All problems alreayd fixed!
    * Customers can return the car (in theory)! But it is debunked right away!
Tesla customers describe maddening problems with returns and refunds

Sloppy? It's more like downright fraud of false promises.

Such lame Tesla bashing, dude. The only reason this is "news" is because a Tesla car was involved.

If it was a high-performance car from any other auto maker -- let's say Porsche, for example -- the CEO wouldn't bother to reply, because some idiot doing reckless driving in his high-performance car and getting into a terrible wreck isn't news... it's an everyday occurrence.

But tell you what, Mr. Serial Tesla Basher: You point to examples of cars from other auto makers which brake to avoid hitting solid obstacles while being recklessly driven at excessive speed, and I'll concede that you actually have a valid reason for posting such non-news.

"Well, there you go again." -- Ronald Reagan

I admit, "TeslaInvestors", I find it downright hilarious that you're obsessed with photos of temporary storage lots of Tesla cars, and counts of those cars, waiting for shipment. Your own comments over the last couple of quarters prove quite conclusively that neither you nor the other Tesla bashers are able to use such data to reach any meaningful conclusion, yet you're still just as obsessed with that as ever!

So do please continue to keep us amused.
    :p :p
