I get exactly the same behavior from all chargepoint stations and my chargepoint home

Still 199.9 but I think it changed the range for real-time fuel economy gauge to always show 0-40-80 when in ev. I think this range was higher different before.

Anyone having problem with the car charger after the update? I will reach 100%, the charger will turn off for 10 sec, then turn back on for 10 sec, on and on.

I got mine in March. You probably need to go back. They will hook the car up to the HDS and it'll tell them if there are any updates to apply.

When you say that it goes "on and on", is that saying that it never ends?
I've charged my Clarity at home 3 times since the HV Range Fix on my Siemens Versicharge, and I've not had this happen.

My wife got hers done yesterday, HV range of 199 miles after update. My hunch is 357 is for a full tank and it adjusts automatically based on that. A range of 357 equates to 51 mpg at 7 gallons. I guess my wife had a bit less than 4 gallons left so it showed the 199.

I am in Canada and Got my Car delivery on 25 June. Since I have made long trips , I have filled up several times , already drove 3000 km in 10 days so do not know what is happening with my car in terms of this HV bug fixed or not. Is there any way to check ? Thanks

That is pretty encouraging, I think. Some evidence that the new calculation might be based on reality. I think my tank was completely full when I got the update, and showed 357 miles. It's been moving down as I've used the ICE for brief periods. It's now at 340.

Just did my first ever HV mode on a 247 mile trip all in HV with a fully charged battery that maintained its EV range over the trip. I started with the default 357 m HV range after the fix and at last fill up it was at 377 m after getting a confirmed 49 mpg. I gassed up past the pump’s stopping point so I could be accurate with the mpg so I may have more than 7 g in the tank.

I confess to driving the speed limit. 70 mph on interstate and 65 on the roads.

I drove our legal limits too (75/70) last weekend only to average right at 39.75 - but a lot of it was hill country in central Texas.

Rechecked the numbers and gas receipts and that’s an honest number even with an altitude gain of 538 ft. Started out with a full charge and EV range estimate only went down 3 miles. And no angry bees!
Will post details after return leg.

The Clarity seems to get wildly different MPG at times. One trip in winter I got 35 mpg driving 75 mph pretty much the whole time (700 miles). My wife got 42 driving mostly 77 mph the entire trip (around 600 miles), but in summer instead of winter. Had AC on instead of heat, etc. Similar trip and direction, slightly different destination.

I think the car might switch between Atikinson and Otto cycles and might make all the difference in efficiency. Or it is just some external factor like wind. Hills might cause it to need to make more power so maybe it switches to Otto cycle which is more power efficient but less fuel efficient.

To be clear this is a hypothesis, need to figure out a way to test it.

And then you have a EV day like this morning, where I "gained" range. Left the house showing 56.4 miles EV range; drove 7.8 miles, and still had 51.3 miles EV range - a magical 1.7 mile range gain - hahahaha - I know, that was just the computer catching up with my lighter accelerator touch and cooler morning, and not a real range gain, but amusing nonetheless.

Yes, that is the game I play with my 26 mile one way commute each day. Does help me to remember to be light on the accelerator and light on the brakes. Before it was 100 degrees outside, I had got my range up to 65 miles. When it got hot but before I got my tint, I was at 54. After putting in tint I am back up to 59.

Is there any way to know that this update is done ?
Since my car is just delivered 10 day before, I do not know it is done or still required.
Since I drove lot on HV mode do not know if I have a issue or not

I got my car delivered on June 30th and it did not have the software fix.
Did you take the car to the Honda dealership service and mention the Service Bulletin SB 18-069? The fix is NOT going to apply over the air like Tesla. It has to be done by dealership using a thumb drive. All clarities have this software bug and eventually based on driving style the discrepancy with HV range will show up. It it doesn’t bother you, you can wait till the next scheduled maintenance and have it checked then to save an extra trip. For me it was giving a unrealistic range and was bothersome.

I took my car to dealership yesterday, and it took them an hour or so to apply the fix. They were not aware of the fix, so I had to show them the screenshot of the bulletin image( someone has attached that on this post earlier). After the fix my HV range self corrected from 581 miles to 356 miles (full tank of gas).

I also noticed that under the infotainment- Info screen, there is a version number. Wonder if that version# got updated after the fix and may be you can check the existence of fix based on that.
