Honda's CR-V PHEV looks like a GM Lyric- why?

What is Honda doing? GM obviously has nothing. Look at the Nikola fiasco.
That concept is a repackaged Lyric.
On Honda it has trashy bling wheels
And that stupid roof line where the car is taller over the front passenger's head and then slopes back. Why? It makes it look like the back passengers have to scrunch down in their seats and it messes up the back end of the car so the top back corners look wierd and trashy. Different is not better. Honda gets nothing from GM- why work with them?

From the two photos I saw, I think you are confusing the concept vehicle being shown with the CR-V PHEV being shown.

The CR-V PHEV photo I saw looked exactly like a CR-V.

Neither Honda nor GM have the scale of someone like VW, so they are partnering up to share the cost. Makes a lot of sense. The roof line profile you are describing is similar to every Tesla model and helps with aerodynamics. Besides it is a concept, it could change in production.
