Here's a great little piece of gear that I've enjoyed using in Jessie (the SE). It's a Fresnel lens that clings to the inside of the windshield and makes visible the stoplights that are obscured by the roofline as my Mini pulls under them. I'm 5'11' and sit with my seat on the floor and pretty far back, so I would lose the stoplights and have to crane forward and duck and turn my neck to see them. With the LightInSight, I see them perfectly without having to move at all. 10/10 highly recommend: https://www.cravenspeed.com/lightinsight-for-mini/ Here's mine in action; I am in the front row and the lights are way above my field of view.
Can you use it to cook hot dogs on a sunny day? Even at only 5'9" I definitely have to come to a halt further from stoplights than I was used to.
No, the sunroof's leading edge sits too far aft to allow one to see forward enough to see the lights. This is my estimate of the lens's view v. the blind spot.
You really need to be shorter to see it right. Only a couple lights on my neighborhood cause a tiny problem for me. I'm 5' tall though.
My dealer told me the vertebrae delete wouldn't be available until the 2022s came out, so I had to go with the lens...
