We loaded Apple CarPlay and can get some Iphone apps to work, but the Plug-Share app doesn't come up as an option on the car display. The Iphone map comes up. Is there a way to get a charger layer to display on that map if we can't get Plug-Share to come up? Would like to have some way to see chargers. Thanks.

The only way currently to do it is through google maps. There is no layer that you can add but in search if you search for "EV charging locations" or a variation of that, it will show where they are and if they are currently in use. It shows evgo and others and they are adding chargepoint later this year along with hopefully a layer where you don't have to search for them. Once you find one and you click on it it will show the status of the chargers, which kinds are available and will let you navigate to them from there.
Plugshare has applied to be accepted into carplay but it has been a year and they are still waiting for approval. You would think that as eco friendly apple claims to be, this would be a no brainer.
    Hope this helps.

Here is a workaround until Apple allows plugshare to work over carplay:
