Just wondering if I could take the Clarity to any shop to get the A01 service? I usually use Jiffy Lube which is quite inexpensive. Or do I need to use the dealer? The dealer is charging $129 which seems expensive. Jiffy Lube would be around $70.

Absolutely! The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (US) prohibits Honda from requiring that you use their dealers for service to maintain your warranty. The same applies to parts and lubricants as long as they meet Honda’s standards. You will want to keep all records and receipts since none of this will be in Honda’s data base. I cobbed up a form from an old Honda with the inspection items and service descriptors and then just have my trusted local mechanic or my self sign it. It all goes in a 3 ring binder just in case I ever have a warranty issue. I have the D80 also, so I’m keeping records for 8 yrs.
