My ship updated its ETA to Cartegena by two hours earlier.

That said, it is pretty close to port but may be a bit late. Could be waiting to pull in to port. Can’t wait to see where it is when I get up in the morning! 2ADABB94-3024-4876-B65B-1E0DC12A8C2F.jpeg

“Moored”, shown on the map inside the bay of Cartegena. No new destination shown.

(I don’t want to miss it go through the Panama Canal!)

I continue to be frustrated watching my carrier drift off the coast waiting to get into Baltimore. The Port of Baltimore web site keeps pushing back its arrival. Currently April 3 at 10:45 AM. Was originally scheduled to be in Georgia in two days. I think they are going to miss that deadline!

That stinks. My ship lost a day out in the Atlantic and then stayed an extra day in Baltimore too. I hope it moves soon!

All your ships need to get out of the way so mine can dock and unload !!!

Interesting that despite your delays my ships scheduled arrival has stayed unchanged at 5pm on Monday April 5th. I’m sire I just jinxed it !!!!

My car sat in Baltimore for two weeks after unloading, hopefully that fate won't befall anyone else.

MINI can move cars out of Baltimore in a hurry if they want to. The production and shipping of my SE was so delayed by the pandemic that MINI expedited it from the Grand Hero ship in Baltimore to Ann Arbor in just 3 days to get it here in time to be delivered on August 24th, the last day before MINI of Ann Arbor went out of business.

Every time I called MINI they said, "it's been released to the carrier, it's up to them." I hope it was just a situation caused by the early days of the pandemic and nobody else has to endure the anticipatory agony. It felt like the closer my SE got, the longer it took to arrive.

What is your ship name? Have you checked Baltimore arrivals to see if it is showing yet? This morning my Niagara Hwy is still drifting off the coast. Arrival pushed back again to this afternoon.

GvilleGuy - I’ve been watching your ship as a guide to what’s going on at the port. My ship is Serenity Ace. The estimated times of arrival according to the port is now the same day 4/5 but the time has been pushed back to 21:00 from 17:00. I guess this is just the beginning of the delay.

From what I can see your Niagara Highway is now 23:00. Hard to believe that my ship will jump yours in the que.

My ship is still hanging out, but is now not even listed as a pending arrival. It did cruise north a bit this morning at 18 knots after drifting for 2 days at 1 or 2 knots. Aside from wanting my car, I am honestly curious what would hold up a big car carrier like that for four extra days.

EDIT: I see that @bldxyz is on approach to the Panama Canal! Progress.

My ship is sitting for a couple of hours (though it says it is traveling at 2 knots)... there seems to be a bit of traffic ahead at the mouth of the canal, no? IMG_0108.JPG

Phew! It made it to the port at the mouth of the Canal. I wonder how many other stops it’ll make.

Looks like they are taking Easter off. My boat has been moored at the dock for 24 hours. Blah.

But your ship is moving through the canal this morning! Today marks two weeks since my car left England, and one week floating off the coast of Virginia. Still no movement toward the Port of Baltimore. Both mine and @mikeg0305 (the Serenity Ace) keep showing arrival times get pushed back. Although I do not have AIS tracking data for Mike's ship. Maybe you can verify, Mike.

    Niagara Highway: 4/5 @ 16:39
    Serenity Ace: 4/6 @ 02:18

    Maybe. Maybe not.

The new destination shown is PA CTB, which is .... not far on the map from where it left from, and not through the Canal part. And here’s the kicker: it’s ETA there, for its third port stop since leaving Southhampton, is on SATURDAY.

I would have been better off not watching how this particular sausage is made. I feel like someone in the backseat of a car saying, “are we there yet?”

GvilleGuy - did my boat jump yours? The Serenity Ace location is live and Niagara Highway is 4 hours old. But still.... IMG_6183.JPG

Oh, snap! It was a fakeout!

They had the right ETA, but the wrong port. Looks like the boat actually IS going through the Canal today!
