My car went to the port in Baltimore and then by ground carrier to Minnesota. It was two days by ground.
Order place 2/23, went into production 3/12(ish), came off the line 3/18, arrived at the port 3/19 with the ship departing on 3/26. Supposed to arrive at the Port of Baltimore 4/5.
I know, right? Mike did not have to deal with the 2021/2021 switchover delay! My deposit was Jan 6 and my car is getting to the Georgia port April 4th, one day before Mike's gets to Baltimore.
Y’all are making me feel glum. My deposit was in December, thought I had the dealer submit the 2022 immediately... but it matters less than having to have my boat go through the Panama Canal. If I get mine before April 20, it’ll be a miracle.
Well, if there are any bright sides, they can be: 1) I’ll have time between when the Miniusa.com builder for 2022 launches, so if there are any options I missed, I could maybe take corrective action.* 2) My money sits in the bank a little longer, and I don’t pay insurance a little longer *I could really drag this out. Imagine that one can add leather seats to the Electric Collection, or drop the Piano Black from the Iconic... those things might actually get me to cancel the car on the boat and reorder (again), which would put me another three months out!
Instead of seeing yet another "I've blacked out my Mini trim" post on reddit, you could be a trend setter in a few months with "I've almost finished chroming out my Mini"!
Here come the 2022s! @bldxyz ship is finally back in AIS range for me. At least we are both approaching North America now.
Are those ships carrying the first batch? I talked to my dealer this morning and they don't have any yet.
There is another ship heading to California that is one day ahead of mine, but no one on the spreadsheet shows a 2022 before those leaving Southampton on 3/20 Sent from my iPad using Inside EVs
Thanks for the heads up. As of last AIS mark a few minutes ago, the ship carrying my MINI is due South of Montserat. Heading to Central America...
The ship carrying my car left AIS reach after passing through the Caribbean archipelago. I expect by Thursday it will update as it gets close to Cartegena, since it expected there at 1:00 GMT on Friday.
I assume the Port of Baltimore has put my ship on a hold. My carrier is hanging out in the Atlantic near the coast for a day or so. I checked the Baltimore arrivals board and it is now scheduled for April 2nd at 21:00. The initial scheduled arrival was March 31st.
