  2. The LYRIQ is a 2023 model currently scheduled to begin sale late 2022. It will have at least 315 miles of range for the rear-wheel-drive version (all-wheel-drive version is said to be between 20 and 30 miles less).

No performance numbers were given yet, but InsideEVs believes it will have a 250 kW motor on the rear axle and AWD will have an additional 180 kW motor on the front. That would add up to 430 kW or 577 horsepower. It may not be the very quickest electric, but it should be plenty quick for most customers.

The vehicle that was show during the reveal is being referred to as a "show car" with about 80-85 percent of the final vehicle represented. The base price should be around $75,000.

    • beyond 300 miles (483 km) of range, "based on internal testing"
    • 100 kWh Ultium battery: NCMA (nickel-cobalt-manganese-aluminum) chemistry, flat pouch cells
    • rear-wheel drive (standard)
      all-wheel drive (performance option)
    • Charging options that fit a variety of preferences for home, the workplace and on the road — including DC fast charging rates over 150 kilowatts and Level 2 charging rates up to 19 kW
Looking at the line right above, which is directly from the press release, it says the 19 kW AC charger will be optional. The language makes it seem like there may be an option to have DC fast-charging above 150 kW (which would be great).
