    • Apple sees a new way to show and tell their self-driving software. Will it be LIDAR based?
    • Hyundai sees a new fleet buyer to make up part of their low sales.
Personally, I have little confidence on what some are claiming:

Hyundai is reportedly in talks to partner with Apple to build an autonomous electric vehicle, a project currently known as the Apple Car, according to the Korea Economic Daily. Hyundai initially confirmed the talks with Apple, but then later walked back that statement, now only saying that it has received requests to work with several different companies, according to Bloomberg. Hyundai has responded to Car and Driver's request for comment and Apple declined to comment. Apple is highly secretive about future products, which could help explain why Hyundai revised its statement confirming the talks with Apple.

I don't see a complimentary relationship. Now if Apple bought sets of EVs and integrated their technology in them, that would be interesting. But integration to just one model or manufacturer is too narrow and risky.
