Went for a 10 minute test drive (horizen still visible, but dark enough).

No issues with bulb stability over bumps and no issues with the aim/alignment.

Well I have to say I’m pretty impressed with these 55w aukee

my car is a m440 Grand coupe and I took the optional Adaptive LEDs when I ordered the car

These lights are pretty comparable in terms of output and visibility To my cars lighting...!

I think I just need to lower them a tad more

  5. Kudos for your test an try approach.
I am still on the fence. One other though on headlights.

Overall this is a very good educational discussion. Love it!

I did finish the aforementioned page on LASFIT installation, noting things already
dscussed here and in other threads. The vertical adjustment screws on the top of
the housings seem to do almost nothing -- it takes MANY turns to make any visible
difference. Since the cutoff heights were basically already the same I didn't goof around
    with it too much.

An option for the high beams would seem to be a no-brainer by comparison...?

I must assume the high beams are exactly the same as the low beams (?).

  9. I checked my Lasfits again and they are optimised pushed in fully.
It doesn't look nearly as fun though ...

Ill have to check that out tomorrow...

  11. Just installed the lasfit 36W on my low beam. And the difference is good and the pattern is the same.
Should be able to post picture/video tomorrow.

the electric consumption has lower too :
was .31kw with one led 36w and one 55w halogen
now .25kw with both 36w on the low beam.

  13. Here you go.

I think that the difference is clear. The iphone make the light's led way more brighter than it is, but the light output, in person, is good. the aiming is like stock.

I changed the reverse bulbs to Philips LED

much better, nice light and doesn't create a glade in the reverse camera either

I'll wait to get the flashers changed to the philips saturday and I'll snap some pics then

  15. The reduction in power consumption using the LEDs is significant! Let's face it, unless you live out of town, the low beam is on most of the time at night. (Also, thanks for the pictures.)

  16. Can you give some more detail about the Philips LEDs you use, like model number or other identification?
    Thanks

I ordered the license plate, flashers and reverse bulbs Philips Ultinon

so far the license plate and reverse are in and are beyond perfect. No blinding. Not too bright. Better than stock by far but like I’ve said before Philips wont go overboard on brightness considering it’s a name brand

here is the image of the license plate bulbs but amazon has the entire Family of ultinon bulbs available for our cars

Also forgot to mention but I’m taking the 55w (110w) bulbs off

the whole extra box for heat bothers me and the fact that the lasfit (thanks for the pictures) are making a few of you happy. I ordered a pair as well.

Once those are installed along with the Philips for all other bulbs. I’ll pretty much be done with it I don’t think anyone else will need to go through the trouble of trying other lights after all I’ve tried ... don’t know if that’s funny or I’m crazy. Probably a bit of both lol

  19. Thanks. In many ways sometimes it is best not to buy the cheapest.

  20. You are right. Why?? It dos not make sense to me either. In my 21 Kona Preferred manual both turn bulbs are listed as PY21W. I will make a physical inspection tomorrow.

Alright well I’m exhausted mentally from all this bulb changing

    1. the Philips flashers suck... don’t get those for front ... back I didn’t even bother... my front and back flashers are now back to stock I’ll look at LED again after winter ... I need a break from this lol
    2. The license plate lights and reverse lights Philips led are perfect
    3. Headlights are still the 55w kit until the lasfit show up but I’ll be honest I might just sell the lasfit kit to someone here and keep the 55w ... until after winter then I’ll see

Have a good one guys. Going to take a shot of tequila now haha !

  23. I am with you on this one! I'll leave the headlights for the spring. Right about now I need to think about winter tires.
