If you have not seen my fun episode, check it out!

I spend some time with my friends from Nissan Canada and talk about the past, present and future of Nissan electrification!

  3. That was a good interview.

Here is the states, there are a number of 2019 Leaf models still on the lots which can be had for a great deal. I just picked up an S Plus (our 3rd Leaf) for 30K+TTL which is 23K after the Federal rebate. While I know the new Bolt has a bit more range and the SR+ in great conditions goes a bit farther on the highway, its pretty cheap 200+ miles wheels.

I am hoping that Nissan adds the dual motor for 2021, and maybe an increased battery. While we are in the 200 is the bar era now (2019-2020), I believe in 2-3 years, that bar will move to 300, as most new offerings seem to be reaching there. We are already at the point of diminishing returns though, as with City driving my current Plus can out drive our old minivan, getting close to 250-275 miles per charge (I am a conservative driver) vs. the minivan's 12 MPG 210 total tank miles.
