  1. Still considering options for my next vehicle, which might be a Toyota Rav 4 Prime PHEV. Looking for portable 16 amp level 2 EVSE that can plug into a typical NEMA 10-30 dryer receptacle... or can do so with an adapter. Amazon lists many cheap chinese, but there have to be better quality units out there. What are you folks using for this use case?

I would recommend you look up Tom's videos on YouTube State of Charge. He does great in-depth reviews of multiple EVSE's.

  4. I watched a couple of those about 6 months ago and IIRC he was focused on the bigger ones that required dedicated 50 amp circuits. But I'll have another look to see if he covers the smaller portable type.

There's the Tesla Mobile Connector, but it's out of stock. I know someone who has one, it's pretty nice.

MINI is also now including a new Flexcharger with all new SEs that does up to 7.7 kW (North America), and I've been considering one of those. Not sure availability as a separate part, however.

Both of these have optional cables for different NEMA receptacles.
