Does any one provide name of the dealer who provides 13K discount from ON government at the time of purchase and also the name of the dealer who provides @ $ 700 discount from MSRP ?

    Thanks so much.

Try Dave Searle of Lakeshore Honda - he provided the Ontario Government discount at the time of purchase, and I got a good deal on the MSRP too, although that was in January. Tell him "John sent you" if you go there - he sold me a green touring and I picked it up it last month. It's GREAT!!!!
He also put together a great set of slides for the car:

Wow! That is an outstanding collection of information on the Clarity. Thank you, Dave Searle!

$700 off MSRP is from my dealer in Ottawa, they have since lowered it to $500 (well 1 manager allows $500, the other said $700 so we went in when the $500 manager is off) as they know people are desperate to getting the car before the rebate is mostly likely scrap after the election. They were still doing the rebate (subtract from total price) as of last Friday as my friend just got one. PM me if you want detail

ps there is another dealer (I got this from someone else) that offered $1000 off but when I talked to him, he said his dealer is not ordering/processing the rebate anymore due to the fact that they can't guarantee they will get the car before Sept, this is a small dealer in a small town outside of Ottawa

I have booked it and have been told that wait time is 8 to 12 weeks.

That is a great presentation (despite insistence on that whole metric thing...:p) - the shot of the bicycle pass through was genius, BUT, points out the biggest flaw in the design - this would have been the perfect vehicle with a hatchback and full fold down passenger seats.

We purchased yesterday and in line up of about 8 other recent Clarity purchasers who are waiting on delivery. Brantford Honda took off the $13,000 off the price right away (after taxes) and is guaranteed. We shopped around first. Kitchener Honda didn’t do it that way and said if the rebate disappeared before delivery date we were out of luck so we opted for Brantford. Good choice all around because Brantford Honda were WAY MORE informative about the Clarity.

I was told by the dealer that the rebate reduction from 14K to 13K happened on March 7 , so it will take long time for them to shut down rebate altogether ( definitely longer than 12weeks) , so hoping that delivery arrives by then for me.My dealer also reduced 13K off my total payment. When you said line up 8 means at your dealer level or overall Ontario level ? Thanks

Thanks Fidzio for recommendation , I booked from here due to fact that they took off $13000 rebate off from my price. I do not have to worry about application of rebate.

That was just Brantford Honda’s waitlist. The warranty lady showed us the screen. We heard similar wait list numbers for Kitchener and St. Catharines as well when we went to those dealerships. We were glad we ordered when we did. I think once word gets out on this vehicle and gas prices go up many people will order. We also looked at the Outlander plug in but the range on the Clarity sold us ultimately.

The rebate could be shut off on the day of an announcement, but going with the format of the last change, likely any deals signed prior to the announcement would still retain the rebate as long as they were processed in the 6 months after the announcement.

The EVSE charger rebate can't be submitted until the vehicle is delivered, so you should have that ready to submit as soon as you get your car.

I am surprised at the difference in how this car is perceived in Canada as compared to the US. These cars are just sitting on the lots down here and you guys are on a wait list for months. It sounds like you guys have better incentives up there but it's not like there aren't any incentives for the car in the states, either.

Remember the Ontario rebate was $14,000 and now $13,000 which is way more than the US especially since the US is a tax credit. There are some states with straight rebate but still with our rebate, this car is comparable in price with the Accord/Camry/Hybrid and even beat the Civic/Corolla high trim in just 3-4 years time depending on gas price. Vancouver gas price is over $1.50/Liter and the forecast for Ontario is over $1.35 (we are already at $1.28 now) by the summer and who knows what the gas price will be like in 3-4 years time

Also Honda appears to be supplying proportionally more cars to the US market than Canada. With the US market around 10x the size of Canada and probably a higher percentage of trucks and SUVs than sedans in the US vs Canada, a quick google vin search I can find 6000 cars imported to USA vs 471 in Canada.

Largest VIN numbers found USA: JHMZC5F13JC006000 Canada: JHMZC5F30JC800471

Nope, still waiting. That's ok, I am using my car that is already traded in with a locked trade in value so as long as I can get my $14k rebate + $1k EVSE rebate, I am ok with it. Except now I am counting the money leaking out of the tail pipe every time I start my car as I have calculated based on my night time charging rate (including all fee and tax) vs current gas rate and my 2012 Elantra consumption, its $0.025/km (base on 5km/KWH) vs $0.11/km (9L/100km)
