After I tested Smart Summon on a friends Model S, I pretty much agree with Consumer Reports https://www.consumerreports.org/hybrids-evs/teslas-smart-summon-performance-doesnt-match-marketing-hype/
And from the article: Jake Fisher, CR’s director of auto testing, says consumers are not getting a fully tested, consumer-ready technology. In essence, he says Tesla owners are being enlisted as beta-testers to help fine-tune the technology for the future—even though they’re paying $6,000 up front for the promised automation. That's the exact point I was making to Bob in the earlier thread, after which I got chastised by him and later attacked by PP. Seems like Consumer Reports agrees. And now NHTSA is investigating, too.
Exactly, Bob showed us "Dumb" Summon is not ready for typical customers in his videos, and will likely lead to injuries and property damage.
In addition as mentioned here: https://insideevs.com/news/375205/tesla-smart-summon-autonomous-cars-liability/ " claims related to Smart Summons crashes will have to go through peoples' car insurance. However , a multitude of issues could result in a class- action lawsuit"
