Very nice. Too small for me but it’s made to be an outside the US, urban car, so OK. And hallelujah, they lost the center console wings!!!
I lust for the tiny mirrorless/camera outside rear view “mirrors”. I wish I had them in the Clarity. I would pay for an adapter kit and the two inside screens. Never gonna happen though. Sigh.

I'm not sure about how I feel regarding the design of this city car. It is so plain looking. No personality. I think the basic idea has merit, especially if the price is under $20K.

I think the side-to-side screens are a bad idea. Too much display to distract the driver.

Since the basic controls (audio/climate, etc...) are not on the screens, one hopes the screens could be turned off. The design leader of this vehicle is the main designer of the Clarity. It has very clean lines, though the proportions are more cute than aggressive, though for a city car that's probably more typical (Fiat 500, Mini Cooper).

The interior design continues to get better with each of the last few years they've done so far. If you see they included a number of additional options for charge settings on the screen (charge settings for different days, charge to percent, location of charging mode). Maybe they will make it into the Clarity app??

I want this car so badly. Please make the call and bring it here and let us know Honda... then I don’t have to go buy a Nissan or Used BMW for my second car to the Clarity.

  13. They say it's 95% production ready. If the 5% going away are the majority of those screens, that'd be great. It's the car's one weak point.
(Ok, well, I'm not sure how practical it is to have the plug positioned in the hood either, even though I like how it looks.)

The "unveiling" of the current prototype at the Geneva Auto Show (including photos) is available at https://www.theverge.com/2019/3/5/18251251/honda-e-prototype-price-release-date-photos-geneva-motor-show-2019. One cute car, but the predicted pricing looks to be a potential problem, certainly as compared with the Clarity, if not the Leaf and others.

Some cars are just so ugly that they are in fact viewed by many as cute. A historical example of this was the VW "bug." A more recent example of this in our own driveway was my wife's Fiat 500, which she loved (but which I thought was supremely unsafe, very ugly and way under-powered). If the price is right, however, I would consider this new little Honda for a second EV in our driveway (if they ever bring it to the US market).

And, another Honda concept car (the Honda "Tomo") apparently related to the Honda e-prototype is also being shown in Geneva. It is a rather different design, so it is not clear which of these (if either one) will eventually reach production. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1121589_honda-tomo-updates-urban-ev-concept-for-active-lifestyles-and-the-geneva-show#image=100692771

I really don't like the last sentence of that article:

  19. Agree! It would be nice if they would at least offer it in larger urban areas.

  21. We only have one thread about the car so far, so it seems a bit early. On the other hand, it probably wouldn't hurt.

Anyone else have an opinion on this?

My enthusiasm may be a bit premature but I really want one in yellow! Who at Honda do we need to bribe to get this car to US?

This car works well for Europe and Japan but not so much for the US so it won't likely make it here (low range EVs don't sell well). That being said, the version shown here is likely close to the final version. Honda always shows what is pretty much the final version as a "concept" soon before it's released.
