Noticed a new Clarity at work, but then I found out it was my coworker's "loaner". Asked him what was wrong with his, and he tells me it's in the shop for a week while the dealer waits for parts for four recalls.

AFAIK, the only recalls are software updates, or did I miss something? I guess the dealer is waiting on 'parts' to update their computer system so they can install them?

I believe SB 18-090 requires a part, the Climate Control Unit. It’s been reported to be on back order. Also SB 18-096 technically also requires a part, the Warranty CD.

  4. Can someone post the text of an 18-090? What are they changing in the climate control and what VIN numbers?

Below is TSB 18-090.pdf which describes the climate control module replacement etc.

    Hope this helps.

  8. From the SB:
“There is a software problem in the climate control unit when running the heater, which may turn the MIL on.“

That settles it. My mother in law is not to ride in the car.

I much prefer the old name for the multifunction indicator light, the “check engine” light.
