    Today is the day of Poll's for me - I know there are a lot of threads on what has/ hasn't broken for everyone. I thought this may help get some meaningful numbers from the data and help us ID the relative cost of failures and the types of systems having issues.

    Please don't include things such as accident repair, cracked windshields, routine maintenance, upgrades, etc. If you happen to be one of the 'above average' drivers (>12k miles/yr) maybe note that in the comments. You can select multiple entries.

    Ex. you might say:
    -Yes, bigger things (head unit, AC system, cooling system)
    AND
    -Overall my repairs were non-drivetrain but mechanical

    Hopefully this makes sense to everyone!

    I think you should have had a specific question about the AC condenser, since that's the failure most prevalent in my reading of the forum.

    No repairs here, about 25k miles a year (lower with Covid now). Only issue I've experienced is every 3 months or so all the brake warnings come on, usually after rain or dampness. According to dealer code isn't stored and it never happens when I can drive straight there.

    Would be interesting to see how this varies by model year. It may be that only 2018 and 2019 have enough miles on them for much repair. My sense from the discussion here is that most of the big repairs - like the ac - are on 2018.

    Upon turning 30,000 miles, no repairs for me outside of the exclusions in your list. I'll offer a seat of the pants observation since my previous cars were all Hondas where I ran into Honda's infamous reluctance to honor warranty claims (a Ridgeline, two Civic Hybrids with battery failure at 100,000 miles, and an Accord Hybrid): So far the Clarity is pretty darn reliable.

    I have just under 24,000 miles on my nearly 3 year old Clarity PHEV. All routine maintenance, except the tires. They seem to be a magnet for damage. I have already replaced two tires. In my years of driving, this has never happened before. Not sure if I can call it bad luck, or maybe the tires are "delicate."

    I've had the angry bees sound and lower than expected electric mileage investigated. Like the rest of you, no answers.

    2018 with 32000 miles. Only oil changes once a year!. And tires have lots of tread left

    We don't use our Clarity's AC very often, but our AC condenser started leaking within the first 1,000 miles. This early failure, the number of other forum members complaining about this part--and the difficulty in obtaining replacements--suggest a manufacturing defect that affected many Claritys. Fortunately for me, my Clarity was delivered in early December, 2017, and must have been one of the first to experience the condenser failure, because the replacement part was readily in stock in the US.

    My Radiator leaked two weeks ago, part is back ordered until January. in an ICE rental until then :(

    I know we're talkin' warranty work but man I would be very tempted to take it to a real radiator shop for repair. Waiting and not using the car that long is a big cost so the warranty work is no longer "free".

    Mine? 2018 base, 28k miles: no issues other than one tire picked up a large screw and developed a slow leak. Need to get the radio update. We don't use the remote start (app or fob) because it locks up the radio which requires a reboot.

    Car runs and drives superbly. We also have a C-Max Energi (one warranty repair) and gen 4 Prius (none known, bought used). Previous PHEV: 2012 volt (trade in @ 9months with issues).

  16. No issues other than needed software updates when new. We are at 26K on a 2018.

    This is actually covered under warranty though. I have 5K KM left on my warranty too.

    Only issue I've had in 15,000 miles is a rattle in the passenger side A-pillar trim right off the lot, which I think was a common thing on the 2018's. Dealer took care of no charge and I don't really count that as a repair. I did have the check-engine light come on for a day and then go off the next day. Asked my dealer if they could check for a stored code when I came in for my annual oil change, and they said sure, for $100. When I pointed out that the car is under warranty, I was told that the $100 diagnostic fee is charged regardless of warranty status, even if it shows a problem that is repaired under warranty. Whaaaaat??? First time I've heard that one. I didn't press the issue since the engine light was a one off and has not repeated for months. If I ever do need to have a warranty repair, I would fight any out of pocket charges tooth and nail.
