Wired: Dr. Elon and Mr. Musk.
One of the stunning lines is that Tesla could afford to push limits of decorum because it was one of the few companies really changing the world. Now why is that? By now and by many very knowing estimates nuclear should have been too cheap to meter even decades ago. What happened? Well the US's patent suppression regime came out right after nuclear and we can assume retrospectively that its purpose (to prevent 'economic disruptions') was to prevent challenges to fossil fuel rent seeking and by extension bank rent seeking but fossil fuel rent seeking was always a government welfare basket case part of the 1/3 of tax haul that government demand has always created since the beginning of states. But we let it destroy the innovative soul of this country and that has both a opportunity cost with a debt to be repaid and a similar even grosser cost with essentially our whole population going backwards on quality of life and standard of living to the point where they have no security and no light at the end of the tunnel- an entire society victimized by friendly fire. We've turned our free people into products in the line of animal husbandry. Its as if Americans themselves are participants in a concentrated animal feeding operations puffed up with gross calories but dying of actual malnutrition and hunted by this mechanism while still in infancy.

The purpose of this smear peace on Musk was to say that because Tesla challenges the prevailing order (a bad one) that the people in Tesla question the mission. But notice the pattern above, its not just patent suppression and gag orders it sponsorship based censorship and those are huge barriers to entry. Look how conglomerated the US media is. The US has sunk way down on the free press listings among countries. US media is controlled by about 6 conglomerates and it is a rent seeker (that destroys democracy with its sponsored candidate filtering) and it hates Tesla because it doesn't pay rents to it. But any company that does pay rents to it through advertisers loses control of their products and their relationship with customers it is another extortionate hostage taking set up.

The Wired piece is a hit piece and its been part of a history of slanted biased reporting by Wired. In one part it says Musk tweeted "you're a horrible human being," about someone who per Wired had been merely critical of Tesla but if I am not mistaken its the person who was caught actively sabotaging Tesla assembly lines again at a critical juncture but was being spun by the conspiratorial short sector as some sort of hero or whistle blower. So sabotage the factory and then start making disparaging short media amplified comments as cover? Wired piece certainly doesn't cover things like the fossil fuel exec getting caught trying to impersonate Musk to Tesla's CFO as part of an espionage attempt but despite going court it was spun as just a prank- idiotic. They also bring up the Tamborino bit but once Tamborino was cut out of that interview it become a lot more interesting and productive. Tamborino was in the habit of asking leading questions to paint Tesla prospects in an negative light because he works for a company that will literally implode over its fossil fuel derivative type investments if Tesla succeeds as in a Goldman exec's comment "big oil was never that big they had to borrow from us just to pay their dividends"- fossil fuels are monolithic because they survive at the whim of the government- there is no difference between the so-called 'energy sector's' natural gas, coal or oil. Wired goes on and on about the MJ- let them reflect on alcohol and its effects or the number of presidents that did inhale even before them became fed employees or the rate of SSRI prescriptions in the country and the observation that those do affect judgment, what about people who never get enough sleep from too long work hours, too long commutes and excessive WIRED coffee intake with a degradation on sanity. And lets get real about why they don't like MJ, its a threat to all that rarefied petroleum known as pharma and a threat to war profiteering because people start to think about larger issues- flamed out the war profiteering in Vietnam and the Nixon presidency etc.
