Dealers are useless. Even after written communication before pick up, they told me yesterday after month that they have not updated GPS , nor they have installed plug nor they have updated software for HV range fix.

I have a car! Yay!!! :) Didn't want to really believe it until I saw it but I'm now the proud owner of a Clarity Touring in white!
And it is full of gas and full of charge so those are good signs... Tried to check for the plugs but I'm obviously not taking photos of the right spots so I'll try again later today. For now I'm just happy and relieved that it arrived and it's Green-plated with my name on it. Lol!

Crazy amount you have in L.A.! Apparently from the many dealers I spoke with when had hunt down a “live one” it’s a combination of very low allocations to Ontario dealers and a high rebate that is disappearing that made the car very scarce. Our rebate was $14,000 then dropped to $13,000 in March then to $0 next month.

Congrats Amy, what dealership? Given some expertise shown, if and when mine ever shows up, perhaps I’ll service there.

I wonder how many of them have dead traction and/or 12-volt batteries?

Here’s a wrinkle that was posted on another EV forum.

“For a vehicle to be on the approved order list, dealers must provide the Ministry of Transportation (Ministry) with the
required information (eligible vehicles in inventory on Ontario lots of Ontario franchised auto dealers and orders
placed with by Ontario franchised auto dealers with their manufacturers on or before July 11, 2018) by end of day
July 16, 2018 to [email protected]."

Has anyone confirmed that their car (post July 11th) was properly submitted to the government? This clause is buried in a PDF that isn’t even accessible from the main EVHIP website and gives and extraordinarily small window for dealerships to reply. What is the likelihood that any dealer cared enough to register any orders?

Oh (insert explitive here). Now I'm worried that I may not get my rebate. However, for those of us that ordered before July 11th and received it afterwards, wouldn't we be able to sue the dealership based on the fact they were negligent in not providing MTO the proper documentation which caused us to not be eligible for our claim?

I just picked up my car yesterday and the deaker told me the same thing. Right after the announcement on July 11th, there was a website where they had to go and enter the vehicle and purchaser info, which they did right away, and he said they were glad they did because the site was taken down shortly after. The government has also taken down the site with the forms which is creating a hassle for them but at least they did enter the info in time.

Just got an email from my sales rep and they said they registered my car with MTO as well. Phew...my fingers are still crossed that MTO doesn't try to pull a fast one on us.

I suspect the Honda Area reps emailed all their dealers to register their outstanding orders, so all dealers were likely notified.

I spoke to the Ministry of Finance call centre and they said they are working on a revised form for people subject to the post-July 11th rules. Was also told to expect to wait 3 to 4 months after submission before they will have the time to even process it due to their massive backlog. The important thing at this point for anyone recently appying for the rebate themselves is to receive the automated email confirmation that your email application was indeed received by them right after you pressed send.

So the application that I submitted (form I had just before the announcement) is invalid and I have to refilll it out again when a new form is available? I did get an confirmation that they received my application, but with current backlog they probably haven't even looked at it yet.

Well after waiting for almost 6 1/2 months, my car has finally arrived. I should be able to pick it up some time next Monday.

I ordered the Honda floor mat when I order the car but I have decided to get Tuxmat instead. If anyone in Ottawa or Canada are interested in the original Honda all season mat, let me know. I got them to give it to me half price so it's C$130+tax+shipping.

Do the Honda mats come with a cover for the middle rear seat? I'm debating between the Honda and Tuxmat. You can get the Honda mats from US dealers for $110 USD. Tuxmat's are available at Costco online for $200 CAD.

No, it doesn't cover the middle rear seat, that is why I have to put them on top of the carpet mat. I was forced to include Honda all season mat when getting my car for 240 CAD

Unlucky for you. My dealer threw in the all season mats for free. Trying to convince the wife to spend more to get tuxmat mats.

I had no choice. After cancel the Tesla 3 in middle of Jun, I was looking for a PHEV. The Pacifica PHEV and Outlander PHEV were my first consideration but EV range doesn't meet my daily commuter. I then search deeper on Google and found there is a Clarity PHEV although I have never seen it on the road. Little more searching I found out the Clarity is very rare here in Canada with long line people in waiting for months, especially for Base model. I thought no hope for me but some on this thread (thanks to him) show that there was a Base model available around 400km from my house . After some phone call , email... I put down the deposit and got the Base model 2 weeks later . So no negotiation, I pay the MSRP price plus $240 CAD for the All season floor mats and have to make the 400km trip to get it home. I feel I am lucky enough to get it :)

Congrats! I see your car is now listed on the Parkway site inventory!

BTW we are now up to 850 which was just listed on Honda London, and a new base 830 was listed on Westgate London
