I thought the "conditions not met" message is related to SCC not LKA. If you have the two almost vertical lines on the HUD I think this is an indication that LKA is selected. One or both the lines turn gray when the lines are not detected and the LKA stops working temporarily until it detects lines again and the speed is high enough.

  3. Yes, that appears to be what was happening. I paid close attention driving home and that's exactly what was displayed. Bad lines seem to be to blame.

  4. Just my two cents:

I don't think it's speed because I actually activated the SCC when I was standing in traffic the other day.

Then just tapped the accelerator pedal to get it to move and follow the slow traffic in front of me.

The only time I got the message so far was when I accidentally pushed the button up (resume) instead of down (set) to initially set the speed.

I had this issue occur and I'm guessing I was moving the set switch down instead of up. This is what I'm used to in my previous vehicle.

This is definitely the issue for me. This morning pressed cancel while on SCC to go through a village (didn't touch brakes). When I attempted to resume I got the "Conditions not met" message. I tapped the brakes, and voila! I could resume the SCC.

The funny thing is I often cancel and resume on the open road (e.g. to overtake). It might be related to the speed dropping below 60Km/hr?

If the sensors are dirty the radar cannot see ahead and it wont activate. Make sure bugs, ice, snow etc arent covering it.

This also happened to me on the highway. After I got the "Conditions not met" message, I dropped my speed (I think I used the brakes) and tried again at about 55km/h and SCC started to work again. So maybe it is a 'speed thing'.

  10. We have had our Kona for almost a year now and have had this issue from time to time as well, it is not speed dependent but it is entirely based on the resetting the brakes as you have noticed. The only reference to this that we have found is in the regular cruise control section on page 5-89 of our owners manual:

    During normal cruise control operation,
when the SET switch is activated
    or reactivated after applying the
brakes, the cruise control will energize
    after approximately 3 seconds.
    This delay is normal.
    • Before activating the cruise control
function, the system will check to
verify that the brake switch is operating
    normally. Depress the brake
pedal at least once after pressing the
POWER button to the ON position
    or starting the vehicle.

If we cant get the cruise to set we just ever so lightly tap the brake pedal and you're good to go, perhaps when leaving we don't depress the brake fully as the system needs a reset to get its head straight.

Also remember that one programmers flaw is another's 'undocumented feature'!

That’s a great find in the manual. It’s new to me, as I've seldom if ever come across this message, on account of not trying to set cc just after setting off.
