"90EV driving"? Are you talking about the Clarity Electric with its 89-mile nominal range?

Yes, I probably would have been more open to the black suede, but I'm in Florida and don't need to get burned by the leather seats. Plus I really love how the beige brightens up to interior. I also got the car in moonlit forest pearl - I have already received 3 compliments on the color in two days. No regrets.

Range vs size vs features vs plug-in capability--it's not really that confusing. Accord Hybrid is the most expensive, has the most interior room and has the most features. Insight has Honda's best hybrid gas mileage, but is smaller than the Accord (it's a non-hatchback Civic with a few different body parts). The Clarity has slightly less interior room than the Accord, but if you don't drive more than 50 miles daily you can go many months without using any gas at all--and there are rebates and tax credits ($7500 fed) that make it much less expensive than the Accord Hybrid. When using gas, the Clarity's 42 mpg is nothing to sneeze at. Our much smaller, much lighter 2nd gen Insight struggles to achieve 36 mpg.

Hah, I was getting quoted on the same car too (Costco price which was a few hundred higher), but I didn't really want Black (ended up with Modern Steel elsewhere). Glad he was able to sell it :)

Did you buy on 3/31 or 4/1? The $8k rebate was supposed to end at 3/31.

We also ended up with Modern Steel (base model), but got it at Stockton Honda. They managed to get one in from Tracy. $28,750 out the door.

I am really surprised that even with such a big diacount, not many were interested in it. I told my coworker last week, he was looking for a new car for his son, and the son didn't like it because it is not a hatchback... Someone like me could never understand this kind of thought, ever.
I am the kind of person who always tells the dealer I want the cheapest color, I don't mind the style either, unless it really makes me uncomfortable.

Any idea if they will extend discount through the month? Or bring it back in the future?

It is possible that they are getting rid of the inventory, I think.

It is unlikely this early in the model year. Maybe they have some carb credit goal that they need to meet by some deadline.

What I basically want to do is sell/trade my 2018 in that I bought in December and take advantage of $6000 offer to get another tax credit.
Hope I can make it happen this weekend but all dealerships in my area are sold out (Portland).

Most people put style near the top of the importance list when buying, not efficiency. Analyze all the ads, almost none about efficiency. They then complain when it cost a fist full of money to full the tank.

Another update on the Costco site, 6K discount until the end of the month. In the Sacramento area, the already limited inventory is at an all time low based on a few web searches.
