You are talking about the price on a lease? I'm thinking upstate NY probably has a number of models on lots.

I think he is talking about purchase because of the mention of the $7500 rebate.

$28300 for a base model purchase is the best yet I think.

I did a lease, if I bought it it would have been msrp $34295 less dealer discount of $5500 is $28795.

Then Honda had college rebate of $500 so that’s $28295. You then get fed credit for $7500 and in NYS $1700 from them. Price before tax $19095 plus tax at your rate. I believe in NYS you still have to pay sales tax on the $500, the $7500, and $1700.

Still a great deal. I’m a car guy and for the money you can’t beat it. My Audi A6 lease was $590 a month and this works out to $160 a month. The Audi is not 3x better. Also have the new NSX and that lease is crazy expensive.

I do like the electric drive and next car will be pure electric

You can only get these kind of crazy deals in ZEV states as they have an extra $3k that they can pass on from Honda. I tried to buy from this same dealer and ship it and they were going to give me a similar deal and then couldn't as I was in NC. I just wanted to clarify for people who may compare this deal to their own and feel they got a bad deal. It depends on location as there are hidden incentives for some states and you can't get around it because they are based on where car will be registered.

I think this is a tactic = a last minute ooops you're not in our ZEV state so price is higher. I also reiterated to NJ dealers that I don't live in NJ and they confirmed the low price was still valid for me...until I was about to buy and got that ooops. Another form of bait-and-switch.

Yes. The dealer cash is only for sales that get registered in a ZEV state. So only way would be to buy it, register in a ZEV state and then move it. No idea if this could even be doable...

Sounds like an amazing deal. Total out the door cost for a 36 month lease is $5725? How much of a NY state rebate does that include?

Based on what I have read hear, and what I have experienced, this isn't a good deal. Since CA is a CARB state, the lease incentives should be $10,800. CT is a CARB state, and I got 220/month, $2000 due at signing. Also, in CA, there is a state rebate of $1500. Is that included in those numbers, or is that all separate in CA?

Bernardi Honda in Natic. They just matched saccuci Honda in RI though. So I guess either place is a great deal.

Nice, looks like MA and RI are now the low cost leader for this vehicle.
Just to clarify :) - only to the respective state residents registering the car in RI or MA.

CA does not get the lease incentives like our friends on the East Coast are receiving. Honda does have a $289 lease on a base for most other states, including CA. As for the $1500 state rebate, that is available to the consumer on purchase or lease. Dealers are only getting the $7500 Federal tax credit.

    So not from here:
    • California
    • Connecticut
    • Maine
    • Maryland
    • Massachusetts
    • New Jersey
    • New York
    • Oregon
    • Rhode Island

I contacted a dozen dealers in Florida for Honda Clarity base pricing, and received seven responses. The OTD prices ranged from $35.5k - $40k. Ridiculous when compared to the other deals posted here. I also contacted the two Florida dealerships that were mentioned earlier in this thread, and neither responded. Anyone having luck with competitive pricing in Florida on a base or touring Clarity?

Not all that much better luck in Northern California. Dealers from Morgan Hill up to Roseville are in 35K - 37K range for the touring. Not much of an interest in going far below. I will try shortly to use the trade in to extract a few more $$. No one has been receptive to the 33,500 deals reported here earlier.....

well, what would it entail to register a car in a ZEV state and then move it? Double sales tax?
